Light and tasty!!! Easy to make. Prepared the recipe as directed, but did add a bit of vanilla. My "Picky Panel of Judges" gave it 5 stars! Definitely a keeper.

I have made these waffles about 20 times now and boy are they great and my family loves them. My boys can't get enough of them. I have felt badly about not having added my review previously and here it is with suggestions for making these waffles superbly. I use three egg whites and put the whites in a mini chopper until they are whipped stiff. If you skip the egg whites part, you are missing the entire point. The egg whites make this fluffy and incredible. The additional white only makes them a little lighter and even more airier, so if that is not a concern, use the two stated or experiment with what you prefer. I still only use the two yolks as stated. Also, I add some cinnamon to the mix and it is very aromatic and yummy. Also, my husband likes them with some chopped walnuts, so I chop them up and after placing the batter in to the waffle iron, I throw in some chopped nuts and then close the lid. If your nuts are not chopped well, your lid will not close as it should. We made these this morning with eggs and bacon and it is a feast. We will be making these Christmas morning as well. Thanks so much. Susan

My family asked me to make waffles for them one sunday morning , I found this recipe on recipezaar and followed the instructions to the tee,and they were the best waffles we had ever had, they literally melted in your mouth. We choose strawberry and whip cream for toppings. This one definately went into our cookbook favorites. Good one Elaine Thanks Rayce.

This was as good as the 20 other people said it was. This is now my permanent waffle recipe. We followed the recipe word by word, except added a teaspoon of vanilla like other reviewers suggested. FYI - We kept our waffles on a preheated pizza stone and that kept them crispy until they were ready to be served.

These really ARE very good waffles! Be sure, however, to grease or spray PAM on your waffle iron...I figured that since there was so much butter in the recipe that it wouldn't need greasing...wrong! THAT was a very unpleasant half hour getting the stuck-on waffle off both top and bottom...! Once the waffles were coming nicely off the iron, they were great. This will be the recipe I use from now on. Thanks!

I agree with all other reviews! These are deceiving. They don't look as though they're going to work because the batter seems too runny; however, they turn out perfect. When you eat them, it is as if they dissolve in your mouth! AWESOME!!! Thanks!

For a sweeter version of these waffles, eliminate the salt completely. I enjoy both ways, but I usually add the salt if I plan on drowning the waffles in maple syrup

Elaine,we enjoyed these very much. I put the leftover waffles in the fridge and just popped them into the toaster the next morning. I think I liked them even better the next day. They are very light and fluffy. I am going to use them for dessert the next time. Thanks Rita

These really are delicious waffles! I left out the salt and added a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. Light and fluffy on the inside, soft crust on the outside. Perfect! My family enjoyed them for dinner last night. I made 14 individual waffles with this recipe.

Made these this morning for an overnight guest. I made them with organic mini blueberries mixed in. They were delicious. As my boyfriend said, "I love Ego, but these are so much better." His friend just kept saying how delicious they were
