This is the most delicious chicken salad I've ever had! I had chicken salad like this in a local restaurant, and loved it so much that I decided to search Zaar for a recipe so I could make it myself. I'm so glad I found this one, because it fit the bill perfectly. I diced my celery instead of just slicing it, and added only one apple and about 1/4 cup walnuts, and it was wonderful. After finishing our sandwiches, my mom and I both kept scooping more out of the bowl, because we couldn't stop eating it! This was a real winner in our house. Thanks, Merlot!

Wonderful chicken Salad recipe, Merlot! I love chicken salad. Whenever we go out to lunch, I always look for chicken salad, so I have had a lot of different kinds. The dressing on this is excellent. The walnuts added a great texture. I added only one apple and found for my salad it was plenty, plus I used freshly ground black pepper. For my money, this recipe is definitly worthy of 5 stars!

Merlot, I made this the same time as your Crunchy Chicken Casserole, but made it with diced cooked turkey instead of the chicken, it is in the fridge for tonights dinner, but I must say that I don't believe that I will even have enough for dinner, as Dh and my son have already been in to it...it is so good.!..a very tasty way to use up leftover chicken or turkey, the apples give it a nice kick...I used half low-fat sour cream and half mayo to make this....delicious, we will be having it tonight with a salad and rolls...Thanks so much for posting another winner sweets!...KC

What a great chicken salad recipe! I even got my mayo rejecting boyfriend to eat this! I did add a dash of celery salt for an extra boost of flavor, used 1 large apple instead of 2, and cut the walnuts in half and it worked out fine. This gives an extra use,(and a flavorful one at that!)for the leftover chicken or turkey we all end up having at some point. Thanks so much Merlot!

Absolutely wonderful!! I love chicken salad. I must say I've never had it this way before and wow, was it ever delicious. I only used one large apple, but other than that, followed the recipe exactly. We had it for lunch today on nice fresh kaiser rolls, with some lettuce & tomato. DH gives it 5 stars also, he was oohing & aahing!!! Thanks Merlot.

This is an outstanding chicken salad, Merlot! I used one green apple and added a handful of sliced grapes and served on croissants with leaf lettuce. Simple and delicious, with great flavor. Thanks for posting!

We LOVED your recipe, Merlot! I used 1 & 1/2 apples (they were large). Threw in some dried sweetened cranberries . I will add 1 & 1/2 Tbs. of lemon juice next time and then add more to taste. Just a taste preference on my part but either way your salad is delicious. Thanx!

I have been looking forever for a simple but GREAT chicken salad. This is wonderful!! I left out the celery only because I didn't have any on hand but did add some seedless grapes instead. It was so yummy!! DH ate almost the whole thing!!! THANKS!

This chicken salad recipe was very tasty. Like some of the other reviewers, I only used one apple. I did this because I didn't have the full 2 cups of chicken (more like 1.5 cups) and once the apple was chopped, it looked like enough for my tastes. I took it to work for lunch and it made my lunchmates drool (the same ones that loved the Easy Taco Stew recipe) I liked it so much that I had the leftovers for dinner too.

Just as you said, easy and delicious, like Bev I also added one apple and thought that was enough, it was a large apple. Thank you , we really enjoyed the salad!!
