This is great!! Use the leftover spread(if any)as a sauce for pasta. Thin it with a little milk, add a small clove of pressed garlic, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss with pasta, shrimp, and a veggie like broccoli or peas YUMMY!!!

I'm so glad I saw this recipe. Where we used to live we'd go to this Greek restaurant that served the most delicious sandwiches and this is almost identical to the spread that they used. My favorite was always genoa salami covered with the cheese spread, so needless to say, that's exactly what I used this for. I got some freshly baked Kaiser rolls, some salami and we had the best lunch. I'll tell you, it was so nice, this sandwich brought back so many good memories. Thanks Merlot, I'm just so tickled I found this and it's just so delicious.

This is awesome, and so much cheaper then the store bought version. Try some in your scrambled eggs...yummah! We have also spread this on hot dog buns, added a bit of parm cheese on top and popped them under the broiler to make awesome garlic toast. And tonight, the kids had leftover noodles tossed with this spread..loved em! We will always have some on hand..thanks for sharing!!

Scrumptious, rich and versatile are just some of the adjectives that came to mind when I first tasted this spread. I made it to take to a women's meeting, serving it with some home baked tomato bread. The combination was a winner. I halved the recipe and I'm glad I did since I have a lot leftover. However, sandwiches, especially cucumber and tomato, will be on my menu for the next day or two to use up the rest. The next time I make this I'm going to freeze some in nice little cubes to haul out and put on steamed veggies, or to let melt on crispy fried fish, or....who knows. Thank you for this great recipe!

Merlot,,,this is great! We always just used plain butter for bread. Not anymore! I like it because it was quick to prepare, I always keep cream cheese handy and all the other ingredients I always have on hand. I used real butter,,,what a smooth creamy wonderful flavor butter. I divided it into 3 little tubs. Kept one out and froze the other two. Will take one to mom's father's day. Thankyou Merlot, our butter's not boring anymore!

Very easy to whip up and tastes delicious! I had to make it without the dill, as my hubby is allergic, but it still came out great! On french bread it's TDF! Thanks for a great recipe, Merlot!

I made a half batch and slightly upped the herbs (1/2 tsp of each). Delicious!

Oh my, this was delicious!!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I made this for a baby shower that I hosted and I could have eaten the entire recipe all by myself. I am going to try freezing the extra little bit I have left, if it makes it to the freezer
. Thanks for posting, I will be using this recipe again!

My husband and I really liked this wonderful tasting buttery spread but was kind of disappointed that it didn't get the rave reviews we felt it deserved. Will certainly make again.

Merlot! Another terrific recipe!! I just made this (without any changes) for a party I'm going to tomorrow night and I had (!) to sample the finished product. I tried it on a wheat cracker and it was sooo good (and really easy to make too). Now that I've tasted it, I'm wondering if I should take something else to the party so that I can keep this wonderful spread for myself. Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I'm sure that I'll be making this one again and again!
