I have never cared for the packages of "low salt" Taco seasoning. This is perfect for me as I did not add the salt & the garlic & onion are the powder not salt. I will no longer be purchasing the packages. Thank you for posting this recipe Brandess!

This is my new favorite taco seasoning, I bought packages in the past but this tastes better and was a breeze to put toghether with things I all ready had in my spice drawer. My husband loves it and I've even used for guest's with good results. I've added a little more garlic and a little less pepper but that's just to please the hubby, it's perfect the way that it is.

I made this taco seasoning to go with your ground beef burrito recipe and it was wonderful! I didn't have any chili powder so I used smoked chipotle powder from Penzey's. Will definitely make this again...no more packages or just dumping anything in and wishing it had something else. This will definitely fit the bill. Thanks.

I'm never buying the packaged stuff again! I thought that the amount of cumin might be too high for me however once used in a recipe the cumin merges well. I like that it has more of a kick that the commercial ones. Also, as I don't use much (if any) salt, next time I will eliminate this as I found it a tad salty for my tastes. Thanks Brandess. The name of this recipe says it all! WoW! It is one of the best taco seasonings I've ever made. Flavor was just perfect. This recipe is a keeper for sure. No need to ever buy store brought again Thanks so much for sharing the recipe Brandess!

I made this to go with your extremely delicious Ground Beef Burritos, but then I completely forgot to rate the seasoning mix. This taco seasoning is wonderful, much better than the store varieties. Thanks!

I've used this several times now and it has never failed me — it's a wonderful blend of flavors and the ingredients are things I always have on hand. I omit the salt so I can season to taste while cooking, but other than that, follow along completely. I've stopped buying the packages — no need to.

You saved the day, Brandess! I was in the middle of making Chicken-Ranch Tacos when I realized I did not have any store packaged taco seasoning! I of course, ran straight to the computer and RecipeZaar and did a search. Lo and Behold, this wonderful recipe came up and saved our chicken tacos! This is a wonderful recipe! The best part is that it only makes the same amount called for in one package of packaged taco seasoning! None to store away to forget I had saved some ; ) I will always make this fresh and will never buy store packaged taco seasoning again! Perfect! I would not change a thing! Thanks so much, Brandess!
