Bev, this was delicious! We loved the buttery taste the squash gets. It gets cooked, but not too soft. This is a simple basic recipe with a minimum of ingredients, yet it could be on the most elegant table! We used the salt and pepper and also a sprinkling of paprika for color. Thanks for a recipe I will use often!

Delicious! This is how we like to cook (and eat) summer squash and zucchini, too. Sometimes I add a little minced garlic to the onions just before I add the squash. I've also sauteed thinly sliced carrots with the onions. What a simple yet delicious veggie dish to prepare while meat is on the grill. Thanks Bev!

This is perfect for fresh from the garden squash. Just onion, butter, salt and pepper. The ingredients accentuate the fresh flavor without interfering. This is the one time you should splurge and use butter, lots of butter! Thanks Bev for a simple pleasure.

This was so yummy. I love this recipe because it requires just a few ingredients, is simply seasoned and tastes delicious. The squash was so tender but not mushy. My kids even liked it. Thanks Bev.

My mother-in-law taught me how to cook squash like this years ago. It is quite delicious! The only thing she did different was add a little sugar to help bring out the natural sweetness. The kids will eat this up.

Mmmmmmmm. This recipe is perfect! I don't eat squash a lot but this recipe could change that. It brings out the flavor flawlessly. I had no idea that squash could be so good!

Yep, I've been cooking my summer squash this way for years and it's my families favorite. I sometimes fry up a little bacon in the pan before adding the squash and it gives it a wonderful flavor as well. Remove the crisp bacon, drain and crumble. Makes a nice topping for squash when serving.

AWESOME! This was super! I didn't know I was a squash person, but this has converted me. I added zucchini and a little sugar. I also added a little parm/romano cheese during the last few minutes. YUMMY!

Bev, thank you for posting this! I had my eye on this one, and yesterday I picked up some yellow squash from the farmers market! This was my main dish for supper! So easy, and so rich tasting with the butter! This will be my standard yellow squash recipe from now on!
