140 Reviews of Blender Quiche - or the Whatever You Have in Your Kitchen Leftov

I found this recipe to be amazing . I had never made quiche before and I was happy with how simple it was to make. I didnt quite understand what baking mix was so I used bisquick. I also had no vegtables in the house except frozen corn and the only meat I had was what was left from my Quiznos sandwich that day. I used real onion instead of flakes and still came out with an amazing supper that my husband couldnt keep his hands off. I guess that proves this really is the leftovers quiche and nomatter what you use its definitly something to add to your cookbook

    My husband and I love this recipe. It uses regular milk, a real plus. I made it with bacon, swiss cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and red bell pepper bits for color. Used chopped red onions instead of dry. Didn't have to buy or make a crust. It was perfect. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

    Thank you for this terrific quiche. I used bacon for the meat and sauteed some zucchini and mushrooms for the vegetables. (I didn't have any leftover veggies) The taste and texture were great. I would, however, recommend a pan a little larger than a 9-inch pie pan for a single recipe. The pan was very full and difficult to get into the oven without spilling. I've already given this recipe to my sister for a brunch she is planning. UPDATE: I have made this many, many times, and we always enjoy it. I've found, however, that fresh mushrooms can be used without cooking them first, and they are delicious. Just wanted to let everyone know.

    These turned out great and were very easy to make. I did add some powdered chicken bouillon (soup base works great, too) to the blender when I whipped up the mix, and it added a light, delicious underlying flavor. I also used a premade crust bottom instead of the cheese bottom. I just prebaked the crust for 10 minutes in the pie pan, then added the ingredients & egg mixture. I used many different combinations of ingredients and found the basic recipe to be completely versatile. I got rave reviews from everyone who tried them at the baby shower. My combinations: --Lorraine (ham, crumbled bacon, and italian cheese) --Greek (feta, sliced black olives, diced tomato, red onion, parsley) --Veggie (green & red pepper, red onion, cheddar cheese) --roast potato & garlic chicken-sausage with onion & italian cheese

    I have made this recipe for years and we love it - just use whatever you have on hand. I used to make regular quiche; but seldom do so now. The texture is different but it just as good and much easier! Thanks for posting.I forgot to add that I never add oil. It isn't needed.

    Very Tasty! Even my husband who doesn't like vegetables liked it--sure to be a repeat recipe. I doubled it, put in a 9"x13" dish and baked it five minutes longer and it worked well...STILL didn't have much for leftovers!

    Good dish. My husband said, "hmmm." I used leftover chopped deli ham, some sauteed red onion, and broccili. Next time I might try cutting the oil back to 1/4c. as it probably didn't need quite as much. Thanks Tish!

    I hesitate to post a review since I really didn't follow this recipe...I just used what I had, but I think that's the point of the recipe. I used a bit of leftover cornish hen meat, left over spinach, only 1/4 cup of olive oil, omitted the parsley, and used pancake mix for the baking mix. The cheese I used was mild cheddar that was left over from taco salad night. I also got to use up the last of the milk that was about to expire. I was super happy to use up all these things but a little concerned about how it would actually taste. It was awesome. Definitely not what I would serve as a real quiche, but great for leftovers. My husband ate 3 large pieces!

    Momma's got a brand new quiche! This is a GREAT recipe - I used swiss in place of the cheddar, canned ham (the kind that is packed like tuna) chopped broccoli, and mushrooms. It was the most delicious thing...WOW! Next week (yes, kids, we're now having quiche once a week) I'm going to try salmon, sun-dried tomato and goat cheese...Thanks Tish, you're my HERO!

    This is great, simple, delicious and a true money-saver. What I like best about it is the gentle reminder that a "recipe" (with few exceptions) is a "suggestion" and not "marching orders." I figured that out years ago, but it pains me to see new cooks sweating over recipes and running to the store for each and every ingredient. This recipe is something most everyone has bunches of ingredients for--just use some imagination. You could probably even make it without eggs, as long as you didn't call it "Quiche." Oh, as far as the discuss the taste, etc. above;
