Fantabulous recipe. I used this to scour all my pans 2 weeks ago so they can hang in the kitchen from a rack. Great job. For some of the nasty bottoms, I let soak in the paste mixture and used a nylon scrubber. Worked great as I was cleaning cupboards out while pots sat.

This worked great! When I was done, I rubbed a little lemon-eucalyptus oil on a paper towel and ran it around the sink for a great clean smell too. Will try the method with vinegar on my rag next time as 2Bleu suggested. THANKS for a keeper!!! Made as a recipenap for Veg*n Swap July 2009.

I had to try this and it works! My sink turned out shiny and this is so much better than Vim. I am anxious to try it on my Paderno pots and pans. Thanks so much for posting this great idea. I will start buying larger boxes to baking soda now. Rita

If I don't have any of my homemade "Soft Scrub" around, this is always my go to... It's SO simple... I like to do this twice a week to get rid of all that "gunk" that seems to splatter on the sides of my sink. I usually add in a few drops of orange essential oil to aid in the cleaning process... not to mention it leaves the sink and kitchen smelling orchard fresh! Great recipe... thanks for posting!!!

5 Stars, this really worked, fast, and it did not require the entire box to clean my sink. This beats using an SOS pad, then having to wash that off with soap! Tried for 1-2-3 Hit Wonders.

This is the absolute best way to clean and shine a stainless steel sink.. used it to clean a friend's and she couldn't believe all I used was baking soda and water.. this also removes brown spots from stainless pots and pans... .. thanks for posting, nita

This is perfect for cleaning stainless steel sinks, pots, and pans. We add vinegar to the dish cloth which seems to help remove the stains quicker and makes it squeeky clean. Great stuff!

A wonderful inexpensive way to clean your stainless steel sink and pans. I sprinkled the baking soda liberally than wiped down the sink with a wet cloth. The hard water spots were gone and the sink looked shiny and new. I had burned the bottom of my dutch oven and scrubbed it with baking soda and a scratch pad, it worked great! Took no time at all to remove those stubborn burned spots. Thank you for posting Dreamer in Ontario! Made and reviewed for 123 Tag Game.

I buy baking soda by the bags - wonderful stuff - using your method far easier then filling the sink and waiting to have it do the job. Sprinkle, moisten and scrub shiny - how easy is that! Thank you for clean and shiny.
