YUM! I was looking for a recipe for Shrimp Scampi and found this one...I followed the recipe pretty closely except I used more garlic, added some parsley for extra color, used margarine since I didn't have butter on hand and instead of white wine, I used apple juice with a splash of vinegar. The addition of apple juice and vinegar made it a bit sweeter than usual scampi...But, everyone had seconds and only one serving makes up any leftovers! Thanks Ann B for a delicious recipe that my whole family enjoyed and will enjoy again in the future!

I liked it a lot but would use the full amount of oil next time because I like the pasta to have the "sauce." I added red pepper flakes and some Italian spices. I wouldn't hesitate to add extra garlic too. Next time, I'll use a different pasta though, like a thin spaghetti. Angel hair cooks so fast that I may have overcooked it and a regular spaghetti would have cooked while the shrimp was cooking without adding extra time. I did add a tad amount of Seasoned breadcrumbs to the mix which was nice. Thanks for a very good recipe!

It was great!! easy to make and tasty. I substituted the wine with chicken broth. I also used 10 cloves of garlic...best scampi I ever had!

man this was sooooo yummy! I was looking for something quick and easy to make and I found it in this! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because I feel like another spice should be added....maybe I need fresh parsely to add. Thanks will use again.

Delicious and easy. I took others advice and added more garlic, reduced oil to 1/3 cup and 4 tbsp butter. I did add lemon juice and fresh parsley. My husband loved it - definitely a "keeper" he said. Make sure you have plenty of bread to soak up the sauce-you'll want to get every bite of it.

This was very tasty! I had cooked small shrimp on hand, and didn't want to make a cocktail. This was a good option, but I made a few adjustments. I used 1/4 cup olive oil, 3 tbsp butter, and 3 tbsp light olive oil spread from a tub. This cut a bit of the fat and cholesterol, since DH and I are trying to lose some weight. I minced up 1/2 a large vidalia onion, and used a bit more garlic. Also, just for fun, we used 1 tablespoon of Grappa (80-proof Italian Chardonnay) with enough water to make 1/2 cup, and it added a nice flavor. We had enough sauce for us, but if you like it a little oilier, then keep the rest of the EVOO. This scampi made the house smell great, and my husband loved the result. Thanks for a quick dinner idea!

Made this recipe this week-end because my son had bought frozen pre-cooked shrimp and he wanted scampi. I did add a pinch of red pepper flakes , some lemon juice and extra garlic. After it was done, I added parsley and served it with rice. I did not taste it as I do not eat seafood, but my son and husband said it was good.

I impressed the hubby with this one! I followed directions exactly but added a teaspoon of italian seasoning and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a punch. I served it over whole wheat linguini with a side of green beans and warm bread sticks. My husband said he felt like he had ordered this at a fancy restaurant.

This recipe is AWESOME! I would recommend using a little less oil and instead of reading serve with angel hair pasta...read toss with angel hair pasta. Yum!
