Ironic that the day I'm going to rate this it comes up as recipe of the day!...Thanx Inez for another super recipe. I have made this twice, both times for a yellow cake. Second time I didn't have unsweetened chocolate, so I did the subsitution thing with 3TBS cocoa powder and 1 TBS oil for each square......Still made this frosting WONDERFUL...Chocolate lovers dream!

Fast and easy recipe, not too sweet or rich. I was surprised at the fluffy texture, easily iced top and sides of a 9 x 13 cake, could have done the middle too. Not a glossy, pretty icing, but good chocolate taste and really very easy.

I did a search for chocolate frosting and up popped Nana's Chocolate Frosting! I am so glad it did too, because this is the perfect chocolate frosting for any occasion. Ample frosting for a 2 layer 8" cake and plenty left over for those greedy bowl lickers. Very chocolaty, creamy and wonderfully delicious! Thanks for yet another winner, Nana (Inez's Alias)!

I just love this recipe. I have never made chocolate frosting from scratch before and I tried this because I ran out of can frosting for my brownies. My family loved it. This is one I will keep and pass down. I won't buy can frosting again. Thank you so much for this recipe.

Great, creamy chocolate frosting. I made this to top my husband's birthday cake and he loved it. It was very easy to make, too.

Very tasty and simple to make — I didn't come close to following the recipe for ingredients, but the proportions are perfect despite my multiple substitutions: cocoa and oil for chocolate, margarine for butter, and soymilk for milk.
