This was a very nice recipe. I added 1/4 cup of dry white wine to the flour mixture right before adding the cream and chicken broth. Couldn't find a pimento pepper here but we like a bit of spice so used a hot red chili pepper instead. Served over pasta and topped with a sprinkling of cayenne pepper. Would also be very nice served like this over thick slices of toast. I think it would be improved upon by only using 1 cup of cream rather than 2. There was an over abundance of the sauce and I think this would let more of the other flavours to show through. Thank you for sharing this - will be making again!

What a wonderful easy and tasty recipe. My family is a bit fussy when it comes to things that look like a casserole............ even though this is not a casserole I was a little hesitant BUT they absolutely loved it. DS went back and ate what was left, which caused a problem because DH wanted more and didnt get seconds. I served this with rice this recipe is so creamy and so very nice! Real comfort food at is best! This recipe is so easy to make and I followed the recipe exactly and was amazed how easy it was. I Will be making this again Pneuma, its already been requested again by the family for dinner. Thanks for the recipe!!!

I made a single serving of this for lunch and was quite pleased. Very simple to put together (although I forgot to add the flour... DOH!), I made as directed and served it over some leftover rice. The flavors incorporated nicely but next time I would add some chopped onion. ~Buddha

I added some white wine to the sauce along with some carrots and peas. I omitted the green pepper. It came out so good! I poured it over some pastry cups and indulged in a wonderful dinner that I will make again and again. Just delicious! Thanks for sharing!

This was awsome. I had to make a few changes. My mushrooms had seen better days so I used celery and carrots and at the end I added some green beans just to help sop up the sauce. Very tasty.

This was very good — and left plenty for lunch tomorrow, so I am looking forward to that! Used a frozen onion and pepper blend in place of the green bell pepper, and it added great color to the recipe (was a combo of red, green, and yellow bells). No pimento, so had to leave that out. Will be making again!

This is rich and creamy and delicious - pure comfort food! I didn't use the pimento, otherwise made just as directed. The green pepper and mushrooms were terrific in this. I served it over thick slices of garlic toast and we had a wonderful meal - thanks for sharing this recipe!

Excellent I did change a couple of things after reading others reviews. I cooked my chicken in garlic and paprika I also added some dyr white wine and a couple of celery sticks (these were only becuase I wanted to use them up.) I think the beauty of this recipe is that it is versatile and you can add as little or as much as you like. I only used 1 cup of cream as I served this in vol-au-vent pastry shells as one of the ways you suggested. I loved it like this, makes a great change to rice or noodles. I was looking after my niece yesterday and both her and my son said "yummy! definitely 5 stars." I have to agree clean plates all round. My cheeky hubby almost didn't get his dinner as he kept nicking bits of chicken out the pan whilst I was heating it all through before transfering to pastry cases.. Quick, easy no fuss dish with great flavour that we will be enjoying again.

This was great, rich and creamy, delicious! My only 'change' was that I used fresh chicken, and cooked it before I cooked the peppers and mushrooms, once the chicken was pretty well cooked, I added the rest. And I didn't use the pimento. Lots of sauce, which we really like, and another time, I would follow the suggestions of other reviewers, and add some white wine, and possibly more herbs, but this time, I made as directed. Made for 12 Days of Christmas recipe swap, thanks, Pneuma!

Yum! Great for a special occasion, you wouldn't want to have this too often though! It's fairly rich for a main dish in a pastry case, but could do nicely as an entree. We don't have pimentos so I used a little tabasco and some smoked paprika. Thanks!
