Really great, didn't have bacon so used a pkg of brown & serve sausage, cut up, also added a squirt of mustard. Threw all in crockpot and cooked for about 6 hours on low, WOWWEE! Everybody loved them, including me! Great recipe.

Excellent! I used this today for a 4th of July party and they turned out really good. I didn't have bacon but the Bushs baked beans did come with that so it was perfect! I added a little Dijon mustard and a bit of jalapeno juice to kick it up a bit. Thanks for sharing!!

Good! I didn't add the bacon and I put a shot of worchestershire sauce in too. The brown sugar gives it such a rich taste. Thanks for the recipe.

No exageration in the name! I made these for a large cookout and everyone loved them. People who said they are usually only so-so on baked beans went back for multiple servings. This recipe is a winner! Thanks.

Just the way "fancied up" beans should be! I diced the bacon, fried it in the skillet, and towards the end add the very finely chopped onion to soften it a bit - absolutely delicious, and indeed even better the second day.

Made this for a gathering last weekend with friends. My friends husband makes very good baked beans himself so I was a bit unsure about making my own. He told me twice how much he liked the beans (the rest of us did too but his compliment was huge). I used Bush's country style baked beans. Didn't have enough brown sugar so I used a bit of honey to round out the 2/3 cup. Thanks for a great recipe and one I will continue to use in the future!

Very good! I made a reduced quantity of this. I used sweet onion, lots of garlic, and made it early in the day. About an hour before dinner, I pulled it out of the refrigerator. When my last oven dish was done cooking, I turned off the oven and popped in this bean dish until it was time to dish up. That took the chill off perfectly. This was an easy and tasty addition to our meal. Thanks!

Great beans. I made them just as listed for the 4th of July. Loved them. They were even better the next day. My husband loves meat so today we added leftover hot dogs cut up. Awesome. Thank you for listing this. We love it!

Made this last night...but didn't have any onions on hand so I used dehydrated. I also gave a good shake of Worchestershire sauce. I will make this again!

I needed a side dish for my bbq and this was the one that caught my eye. I love Famous Dave's wilbur beans and decided on this recipe. I chopped up 4 cooked sausage patties instead of the bacon, and added about 1 TBS dijon mustard and 1 TBS worshesteshire sauce, and cut the brown sugar way back to 1 TBS. These got rave reviews! Thanks for sharing!
