Loved this! I omitted the salt, butter, and olive oil from the fish frying - just sprayed the pan with nonstick cooking spray and covered the fish with the pepper. I also used low-sodium soy sauce in the sauce to decrease the sodium a bit. I subbed some cayenne pepper for the red pepper flakes, as that is what I had on hand. The fish and sauce were so lovely - a blend of tangy, sweet and a little spicy. Thank you for a definite keeper!

This was outstanding! My husband and I enjoyed it immensely and what a lovely surprise the sauce was with the garnishes. Just a delightful combination of flavors that went well with steamed rice. I omitted the red pepper flakes which left it with the perfect level of kick from the Worcestershire sauce for our novice tongues. This one will be made again and again, particularly for those nights when I don't want to put too much effort into a dish, but which results in big flavor payoff. Thank you so much for posting and many thanks to your co-worker, too!

Very good, I put pepper and salt on the tilapia first then coated with flour to add a nice crisp to the fish. For the sauce I added about a TBSP of butter to thicken a bit. I also did not have any tomatoes or green onion, and it still came out great.

The fish was delicious on its own. The sauce though, was a little sweet for us. Thank you for posting.

Wow - this is a delicious way to cook fish!! I only used tomatoes for the garnish, otherwise made just as specified. The sauce is absolutely fantastic - rich and spicy - and is a perfect complement to the mild fish. Really enjoyed this - thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for the Best of 2008 event

We really enjoyed this recipe - and we're not usually ones to cook fish at home. I also breaded my filets a little, then I stuck them in the broiler for a few minutes at the end to crisp them up. Great sauce!

Yum! I made this exactly as directed and really enjoyed it a lot. Tilapia is such a mild fish, so I like to use sauces with a lot of flavor. The ingredient list is unusual, but it really works together well. Thanks for posting this!

Simple and good. I didn't season the fish at all with salt, but used ginger & pepper only. I also used a drizzle of honey in place of the brown sugar.

Excellent and very easy to put together. I really like the addition of the fresh tomatoes and cilantro. I even doubled the fresh chopped tomatoes. Wow, so good. Keeper recipe.
