Wow, I love cabbage rolls but avoid making them because of the long involved process!!! They were very simple to make and so very tasty! I did use my own homemade tomato sauce and added some garlic. Thanks Inez!

I used this recipe for a potluck dish and it was well received and absolutely delicious. I only changed the meat used...I mix ground lamb and beef and it's fantastic. I also used a red pepper due to my own preference for its taste.

I followed the recipe exactly and they were very good. This was my first time making cabbage rolls. I only changed the way of cooking, I used a crockpot on high for 4 hours and with doing that, you don't need to cook the rice ahead of time. Thanks

These were very tasty...we froze half of them and served them at a later date and they were still very tasty.

This was a time consuming dish, but it was well worth it. I thought that the hardest part would be rolling the rolls, but that was actually the easiest part. The hardest part was separating the cabbage leaves. I also stuck the whole cabbage in a steamer to loosen the leaves. Before the steamer though, I cut around the core, but I couldn't get it out. When the leaves loosened, I removed as many as I could without breaking. I then put the leaves in a large pot and covered with boiling water, but I also left the covered pot on simmer. I removed the leaves with tongs versus draining the water. I doubled the recipe and used a combination of extra lean ground beef and ground turkey breast. I added a couple cloves of minced garlic to the stuffing mixture. Next time, I will add more garlic. I don't think the mixture would have been as flavorful without the fresh garlic. I added a little more tomato sauce to the stuffing mixture and about doubled the sauce amount to pour over the rolls. I unintentionally skipped the sauce thickening steps at the end since I had many hungry people waiting on dinner. I did cook the rolls about 10 minutes longer. Very tasty dish!

Very quick and tasty. I wouldn't change a thing. I served these with bert's "new potatoes roasted with garlic and olive oil", and asparagus.

Great recipe, Nezz! It was very easy to put together with great results. I used 1 packet of Splenda as a sugar substitute, other than that, I made it as you directed. I had some leftovers and froze some for another meal. You did it again, friend! James and I both thank you for a great meal.

This is a great time-saving recipe. The tomato sauce mixture added to the top of the rolls is wonderful! My husband thought it was his birthday, because I never make this...Too time consuming. This one is a keeper.

Easy & delicious. I added a few pinches of crushed red pepper flakes & it spiced it up. My husband loved it.

MizzNezz, I also avoid making cabbage rolls even though I adore them, because they are time consuming. Great recipe! The only thing I did differently, was use (Spaghetti Sauce) AngelicFantasia's Spaghetti Sauce and omitted the sugar for that reason. My husband who never cared for cabbage rolls, is now a convert. hehe I'm lovin' it. Thanks!
