9 Reviews of Shrimp Destin

From: Sunflower

On Jun 17, 2002

Made this over the weekend. We were in the mood for something different. My family and I really enjoyed this. Reminded me of a shrimp po-boy, only open-faced. It was easy, delicious and we will have this again. Thank-you for a great recipe.

I have had this before while visiting Destin, FL. So I was tickled to see it posted here. Made this over the week-end. The shrimp tasted wonderful sauteed in the white wine/butter mixture. I love dill so that was a definite plus. This was very easy to prepare and the family gave it 5-stars. Thanks Nurse Di for another winner.

I was going to post this recipe today but I see you beat me to it! This really is a great recipe. I found it in an old issue of "Southern Living Annual Recipes" and have made it often. One of my favorite shrimp recipes. It's also good served over pasta.

I had some shrimp lying around in my freezer just waiting for the right recipe to come along. This was it. An excellent blend of flavors in the sauce. Preparation was no biggy, either. Just stir it up in a pan and your done. Added steamed vegetables and a salad for a quick but classy dinner. Thank-you Nurse Di.

Excellent! Very easy and simple. My wife said this was a definite keeper. I did use lime instead of lemon and squeezed additional lime over before eating. I also used more garlic and used the French bread to mop up the butter sauce. Instead of salt and pepper, I used Tony Chachere's seasoning. Just delicious.

Yum! I made this recipe (halved) last night after finding it in my Southern Living cookbook, and served with a green salad. It was quick to prepare and gave a much more gourmet illusion! This strikes me as a wonderful thing to serve if you want to impress lunch guests! Just wanted to let everyone know how tasty this is!

Delicious, ratherbe! Well done. I made more sauce than called for to have something to mop up.
