The first time I made the mistake of letting the soup boil to high, so too much evaporated and I like to have plenty of broth. The recipe made a whole lot of noodles for the soup, so I ended up making less the second time. One thing that I added the second time was a couple of dashes of soy sauce and a couple tablespoons of white vinegar. I know it sounds strange, but you have to try it in chicken soups before you judge! It really adds alot of extra flavor. Thank you so much for the excellent recipe!

I choose this recipe as I have been making one very similiar for years and I knew it would be a big hit with the family. There is nothing like making your own noodles. The results are between a dumpling & a noodle and is so hearty. I cut my onion in half to add flavor but then disgarded it as my family is very picky! I also used some chicken stock that I had frozen. This is so very good and a great way to warm the bones and fight off the cold. You done good Kevin!

The whole family loved this one! I made the homemade noodles by mixing the ingredients in my breadmaker for 10 minutes, then took out the dough and rolled it out. I will definitely use this one again...especially when the snow comes. Thanks, Kevin!

I made this tonight because my son in home with the dreaded influenza and I was thinking "chicken soup" for his illness.... We all loved it! I added a bit of soy sauce, (thanks to Emmy), a dash of paprika, (my own idea) and a dollop of sour cream at the end. BOY HOWDY - This soup is good stuff!

Ohhhh this is SUCH great soup!! My dh had dental work done today and I was hoping to make him something he could eat. Well he just finished his second bowl. I am honestly not a big soup fan, but i ate a huge bowl of this soup as well. I followed all the directions exactly except I added 1 tbs of dried basil. Thanks so much for sharing! I will be making this again soon.

The soup was delicious! I used a whole chicken and added some chicken bouillon while simmering the chicken. Once the chicken was done, I removed the bay leaves and the onion (because the picky kids hate onion). This was my first attempt at homemade chicken noodle soup and I will NEVER eat the canned stuff again! Thanks Kevin for sharing a winning recipe!

Wow, was this good, best chicken soup I ever had. Instead of cooking the chicken, I used leftover roasted Mean Chef's maple brined chicken. Cut the cooking time way back to about 30 minutes. Those homemade noodles make the recipe. Taking one review hint, I made the dough in my breadmaker. They are between a noodle and a dumpling and Sooo good. The proportions do make a lot of noodles, so I would recommend either making more broth, or less noodles. Definitely will make this again.

Kevin, what a winner! My noodles were just a bit too thick--next time I will roll the dough thinner. This was enjoyed by my whole family. Thanks for a keeper!

Wonderful recipe, a little heavy on the pepper for me, but that's easy to alter to my tastes. The first time I made this I also made the noodles, wow are they good!

I really liked this chicken noodle soup, I only did a half a batch as there is only my husband and I. It was the first time my DH tired homemade noodles so he was a little unsure. The broth was sooo.. good, it tasted alot liked Campbells except better. I'll make this again for sure.
