I would give these 10 stars if I could. They are superior to any other muffin I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The muffins were sweet, but not too sweet. The texture was moist and tender and not heavy. The strawberry butter was wonderful, and firmed up nicely after being put in the refrigerator. I used a melon baller to scoop out onto our plates. It was spreadable either room temp or cool. The strawberries and nuts in the butter had a fantastic flavor that is phenominal in this recipe. My DS and DD LOVED them and can't wait to have them again. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and were perfect. The muffins were cooked perfectly and the strawberries were distributed nicely throughout the muffins. I really can't say enough good about this recipe, but WOWZA! You have got to try them for yourself to see what I mean! Made for RSC#11.

5 Stars please! I did a review on this recipe but when I went back to see if the stars showed up the review was gone also, so here I go again
These muffins were incredible! They were just sweet enough, with a great texture and taste! The streudel topping was wonderful and added just enough sweetness to the muffins. I love the addition of the nuts! The strawberry butter was absolutely delicious, and with the addition of the nuts brought the muffins over the top for me. This is by far the best muffin I have ever tasted, and I will be making many more times. It is definately a "Winner" recipe. I wish you luck and hope lots of people made this recipe. If you haven't made it, I hope you will. EXCELLENT recipe made for RSC #11. Linda

5 Stars - These are by far, superior muffins! I prepared the recipe as stated, except I had to ration the pecans a little. I used a scant 1/4 cup each for the topping & the butter. They baked up perfectly in the time stated & were moist warm or cool. The streusel topping adds enough sweetness & crunch to make the muffins fabulous... But they were simply divine with the strawberry butter! We will probably make these more often than any other muffin recipe. I can only hope my photos do this recipe justice. Made & enjoyed for RSC#11, January 2008.

Excellent flavor! Allow me to be the idiot who says "don't forget to use fresh berries rather than frozen." Ha! Delicious though, even when frozen. And yes, the butter was amazing. I made a few changes though... instead of muffins, made a double batch and baked in a 9x13" pan. Frozen strawberries, as mentioned, are an injustice. Also, had to use almonds rather than pecans due to allergies and it was absolutely delicious. Is there supposed to be salt in the recipe?

Excellent, moist, fluffy muffins! I made these last night, and when I came home from the store this morning, they were half gone!
Loved the topping, too. I used walnuts instead of pecans, and next time I may omit the nuts altogether (pers pref). One thing - I only got 12 regular sized muffins out of this, not 18... and they weren't overflowing, so if you need more than 12, you may want to double the recipe.

Followed recipe exactly with great results. I loved everything about these muffins. Just sweet enough, great strawberry flavors and the addition of the nuts and struesel on top was great! They cooked up nicely and were a nice consistency. The butter with nuts and strawberries was so freakin good it made me want to lick the bowl! There I've said it! Good Luck to whomever made the recipe. Kim

I suggest making larger muffins. They come out so moist and tender and lasted us for almost a week in the fridge! We had one every other day for breakfast. The strawberry butter is sensational! Can't remember when, if ever, I have enjoyed a muffin as much as I have these. My DH says he could eat these every day for breakfast he loved them so much! My strawberry butter was not quite as set as some of the pictures until after I put it in the fridge for the day. I will be making up a big batch of it to have on toast it was so delicious! Thank you for sharing Sue!

Very good muffins! I liked the strawberry butter with them too, but it certainly is not necessary, the muffins stand by themselves. I used Smart Balance and subbed a little as applesauce. I also cut the powdered sugar in half (in the butter). Still wonderful! I baked them about 20 minutes.

I loved all the ingredients in this recipe and knew by looking at it that it would be one that would go over well in this house. It went together fairly quickly and they were definatley worth making! Awesome muffins. I have never had a better one, I can say that. My husband just about fell over when he took his first bite. The strawberry butter was a genius idea and perfect in every way. Not a thing I would change to make them better. This is one "perfect" muffin! Good luck in RSC#11 contest. Dawn
