Wow. This is incredibly easy to make and tastes delicious. It really took me just one hour to make the bread and it rose and browned beautifully. I topped my bread with the olive oil, parmesan, a bit of sea salt, a light layer of an artichoke & caper tapenade I had in the frige, and then some sliced fresh tomatoes. Really, you could go nuts with toppings on the bread and try a lot of different combinations. It's a versatile recipe that I know I'll be making again, even during the week (did I mention it only takes one hour for this bread, start to finish?!?). Thanks for posting such an easy, excellent recipe.

I've made this bread several times and everybody loved it. I recommend adding the cheese during the last five minutes of baking, otherwise it gets too dark.

I've tried several other foccacia bread recipes and this has been the best so far. I made 2 breads---one with the cheese and one without and preferred the bread without the cheese. Easy to make and tastes wonderful! I'll definitely make this again.

I'm really bad at baking breads, but this one was relly simple and the results were enjoyable. I added chargrilled peppers on top with some extra garlic and cheddar as I find mozzarella to bland for my taste. However, I also added a few blocks of mozzarella into the dough so when you cut it open some places have a bit of cheese. I'm just impressed that I was able to bake ths with such ease - it gave ma a lot more confidence to try my hand at bread baking. Thank you.

I will definetly make this again it's soooooo great! I've always loved the idea of foccacia but have always found it kind of dry and hard when I've bought it in the stores. But this?? It's perfect! It's still dense and a bit chewy, but not dry at all. The only things I did differently were to start first with the vegetable oil and I used hot water, let it cool to lukewarm then added all the seasonings listed first, then sprinkled the yeast over it and stirred-I swear this is the only way I can get my dough to rise. Then after I took it out I immediately brushed it with butter I had melted with 2 crushed garlic cloves in the micro. Yum yum yum! Thank you for this! Oh yeah, did I mention EASY? You're the best.

How good is this? I mixed it in the bread machine. First I put in dry ingredients then wet ingredients. I chose to put the cheeses in the machine as well. When the machine had finished mixing I followed your directions. End result, a perfect foccacia. I served mine split in half, with fried cubed chicken and melted cheese on top. I will not buy the store bought foccacia again. Thanks for a great recipe

I have made this recipe a few times now and it is wonderful. Quick and easy, no long rise times. I topped it with a bunch of spices and melted cheese to make wonderful cheese breadsticks. If you are wanting a real treat, try using this recipe as a pizza crust. I makes a wonderful deep crust that is flavorful and soft. Top with your favorite toppings for a meal that is sure to be a hit.

This is a simple recipe. We all loved it. I didnt have any garlic powder so I left that out and I probably could have let it rise another 15 minutes but I was in a rush. Took it to my parents for mother's day Sunday. It didnt make it, it was gone by Friday night. This has been filed into my favorites. UPDATE: I made one to send with my parents and friends on their holidays..it didnt make it, my hubby ate it so I made another one and they loved it..I used carmelized onions, minced garlic and cheddar cheese(none mozzarella in the house)on these two. Thanks, its so easy and quick to make it will be something that will be made over and over.

I thought this recipe was surprisingly good! Instead of garlic powder, I used rosemary (because I didn't have any garlic powder) and I thought that that was something that it definitely needed anyway. Really yummy foccacia always has rosemary in it! Instead of mozzarella, I used chedder which turned out really good. I personally think it would have been nasty with mozzarella. The only thing that I was kind of disappointed about was that the outside was kind of hard and the bread was a little bit dense. But it was still really, really good!

I love this foccacia bread. I will never buy the sore made stuff again. I apologize to manda as I should have posted this a year ago when I first started making it. How good is it it was 88 degrees outside and I heated up my home to make this. I've used different spices and it always taste great but is so light and fluffy it is less filling. Thanks Manda for sharing this recipe with us
