My husband and son loved this. Both guys said that this is the best hot-dog they've ever had. (I'm not a big hot-dog fan, so this review is mainly from the men in my family.) For me? A meal that's really easy to throw together. We did, however, have lots of chili left over after the hot dogs were demolished, so I think next time I'll add extra franks to this recipe. Thanks, Di, for a great crockpot family meal!

WOW - this was really good and so easy! I varied a few ingrediants. I use jalapenos instead of green chilis (we like it spicy) and I used bratwurst instead of hotdogs. I served it with french fries - the sauce was great on the dogs, plus it makes for great chili-cheese fries! My husband scarfed this up!

Oh yeah!! We just got through scarfing these chili dogs down. I put everything in the crockpot after we got home from church. Very easy and the dogs turned out very tender. Kids ate theirs sans onion, but my husband and I had ours loaded up. Delicious and very little effort. Thanks Nurse Di.

Taking Jill4man's advice, I made this for a potluck at the office. I used 24 hot dogs, one 25 oz. can of chili, 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup and 8 oz of green chilies. It was delicious and there was plenty of sauce for all of the hot dogs! There is WAY too much testosterone at my place of employment and this was the FIRST dish these boys headed for. And then they went back for more. By the end of the potluck I was able to just take the empty crockpot bag out and throw it away! I am going to make it for DH’s next potluck and I think I will add a can of chopped jalapenos instead of green chilies to give it a bit more “zip.

I was very happy with how this tasted, and it was certainly a very easy dish to put together. Using Hormel canned chili, the sauce was a little runny. I hope to try it again with a different brand.

Super easy and very good. Everyone liked these dogs. I did omit the corn chips as a topping and served them as a side. The flavors of the chili sauce blend so well together. Definitely a keeper.

Very good recipe. One that would please just about anyone. I think the canned cheese just made it. Thanks for posting this recipe.

This was a easy meal to put together and the guys really liked it. After reading the other reviews I did only use 1 can of chili in this and the amount of sauce turned out right for us. I really liked the addition of the green chilies. I would recommend this to anyone with teenage boys to feed. I think it would be a terrific kid pleasing meal.

Well I finally have culinar-ily completely pleased my husband!! While he always "likes" what I make - he said he "sure loved" this meal!! I only had one can of chili and it did have beans, and it ended up being a decent amount. I love crock pot meals so this recipe couldn't go wrong!!
