Potato-lover's heaven in a bowl. Simple, in this case, does NOT mean boring! These 7 ingredients make one heck of a great potato soup! I made this as written. I used my immersion blender to pree the soup (but not completely smooth). The soup was thick and absolutely delicious! I garnish with green onions. A keeper for sure; thanx!

My wife and I are big lovers of potato soup. Loved your recipe. Texture was just right. We added a little Parsley, and a dash of salt as well. Enjoyed your recipe very much. Joe

I made this soup for lunch today and I think it's great! Easy to make too! I did change 2 things: I used 1/2 C heavy cream in place of the milk and I used shredded cheddar cheese. I topped each bowl with extra cheese, crumbled bacon and green onions. It's a cold and rainy day today and this soup hit the spot! Great recipe!

This potato soup is not as good as th "Hard Rock Cafe" Potato soup recipe, using heavy cream and crumbled bacon, along with the garlic and onions. Plus, cheddar cheese is better in this recipe.

Yum. I added some salt since I used low sodium chicken stock. I also used butter instead of margarine. I had never made potato soup before, and this was so simple. I had no evaporated milk, so I used regular 2%. Thanks for a great recipe!

I served this to my father-in-law. He is very critical of my cooking. He pronounced this potato soup the best he ever had. High praises indeed. Mick
