These were very good! I didn't have any cracker crumbs but I was reading another one of your recipes that called for cracker crumbs OR breadcrumbs so I subbed bread crumbs. I served with a mayo/horseradish sauce. Really terrific!

Fabulous! This tasted exactly like deep fried zucchini I have had in restaurants. My husband, who is sick and tired of me sneaking zucchini into everything in an attempt to get rid of it, asked for seconds of this! Suggestion: cut the strips of zucchini fairly thin. The first batch I made was cut too thick, and they were still very crunchy on the inside when the outside was golden brown.

These are awesome, Uncle Bill! I served mine with a horseradish/sour cream dip. As with Queen Dragon Mom, I used my french fry cutter to prepare the zucchini. It's a great help.

Delicious! The darned things are addictive. Please excuse me while I go eat some more... Thanks, Bill, for posting this. (A french fry cutter works great to prepare the zucchini....)

I really liked this recipe! I was impatient, unfortunately, since I didn't crush the crackers well enough. Next time, I'll put them in the food processor! I added grated parmesan to the crackers and thoroughly enjoyed these. In addition, I will cut the zucchini into "steaks" to cut down on the prep and cooking time. Thanks for the recipe Uncle Bill!

Update: Made these to go with fried pork, was a great meal.Tried this one yesterday as a side dish. It was great! I had been looking for one like my mom used to make but this one is better. I cut mine into rounds but didn't use the sauce. Served it with orzo and shrimp salad.

I used buttermilk instead of the whole milk. I also used bread crumbs instead of the cracker crumbs. The zucchini turned out delicious, thanks for the recipe.

These were fabulous!! I used 3 bowls for all of the dunking along with a pair of metal tongs. We also used this to make cheese sticks and they turned out GREAT! I found that what worked best for us was to cut the zucchini into 1/2 inch wide strips, and just over 1/4 inch thick, but we like a lot of "crumb coating" too
I used just about 1/2 inch of oil and it worked just fine. I think this would be fabulous with other veggies too, like cauliflower or mushrooms!

Really delicious! The only change I made was I used plain bread crumbs & dipped ours in ranch dressing. My teen who doesn't like veggies, gobbled these up! Go figure!
