Absolutely TDF There are 27 recipes on RZ w/the words Better Than Sex in their title & none of them are cookie recipes. I know this because I checked after eating 1 of your cookies. IMHO, this recipe needs to be #28! I made a full recipe w/a 24 cookie yield, proving my instinct I made them larger than intended. The dough was very soft, but rolled easily in the palms of my hands w/care. The thumbprints nearly disappeared during baking, but I was watching & ready to fix that. When they came out of the oven, I used a rd plastic cap from a perfume bottle to reform the thumbprints while the cookies were still hot & soft. Worked like a charm! As good as the cookies are, the filling is the star here & is pure lemon heaven ! I will dust a few w/powd sugar for the pic & to be true to the recipe, but it is overkill IMO. They are just too good w/o it. Kudos to you for gifting us w/this 10* worthy & amazing recipe.

Great recipe--the cookies are so light and tender, and the filling is fantastic. I did have to reform the indentation after baking the cookies, but this is not a problem if you do it as soon as you remove the cookies from the oven--it needs to be done quickly before the cookies cool at all. Wonderful addition to my cookie trays--thanks for posting!

Light and lemony. These delicate cookies would be wonderful with tea. When cooking I was afraid that the filling was not going to thicken, but I shouldn't have. They came out perfect. I followed others' advice and re-did the thumb print as soon as I pulled the cookies out of the oven. These are pretty too!

What delicious little gems! They not only look great and would be a wonderful addition to any table, but they taste amazing! I love the soft buttery cookie, and didn't find them to be too crumbly at all. They were a little crumbly, but in a good way! I was amazed at how easy the dough for the cookies was! And without there being any egg in it, I could have eaten the dough as it was, but I controled myself lol. The filling is outstanding. Reminds me of some lemon bars I love. I didn't need 25 minutes to thicken my filling, and I really only let it cool for a couple minutes before filling the cookies since I was worried if I let it cool too long it would harden and be tricky to handle. I also had to reform the thumb prints on the cookies when they came out, but I was ready after reading the other reviews. We also left off the powder sugar on top since it wasn't necessary. I did get exactly 3dz. cookies out of this, though keep in mind they are small cookies. I used butter instead of margarine as well. I agree these deserve more than 5 stars! A little time consuming, but so worth the effort!

THE best cookies I have ever made, I also made another batch and filled them with fudge for my husband who doesn't like lemon. Thanks for this keeper!

We loved them! Make sure to press the little indents right after they come out of the oven so you have room for the lemon filling! We ate the whole batch!

I followed the directions exactly. They turned out very pretty - just like the picture, but I didn't care for the taste. The cookie part was almost too crumbly to handle and not very tasty - kind of bland. The lemon filling was tangy but the grated peel made for small hard pieces that got stuck in your teeth! Plus, I didn't have enough filling for all my cookies and to use a whole cup of butter, the yield was small. Better luck to you if you try it.
