My wife an I have had Cream of Crab soup from many different Maryland restaurants and this is by far the best we have ever had!!!!!

    Great taste and so easy to prepare. I did use salted butter because that's all I had, and increased the onions to 2T. I was so pleased with the results. Thanks for the recipe.

    Excellent. I've tried a few variations, and they've all turned out well. Adding potatoes gives the soup a bit more substance. I also have done it without onions. It's also easy to vary the amount of Old Bay.

    This is the 2nd time I've made this soup and it's soooo good! It's very similar to the cream of crab soup at Victor's restaurant in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Delicious! This time around I only had like 4 oz. light cream left over so I have to use heavy cream to make it the rest. I know it was incredibly fattening, but it was FANTASTIC! I'm going to use half light cream and half heavy cream from now on...so creamy and wonderful. Thanks for posting this!

    WOW, what a great soup. Had company over after church today, tripled the recipe and there's NOTHING left. Everyone raved over this excellent recipe.

    Awsome, Awsome, Awsome, everybody loved it but, with that much cream and butter it would have to taste good would'nt it? My arteries are a little more clogged than they already were. My thanks to the chef for this one!

    Best cream of crab soup I've ever had. I make the roux ahead of time and let it sit until just before we're ready to serve it; then make up the rest of the soup. I've also made the soup with half and half which works great.
