I made this because of all the rave reviews. It seems I am the only one to put in a negative review. I don't like to hurt anyones feeling with a bad review, I made this several months ago and wasn't going to put in this review but feel I should because there may be others like me that don't like the overpowering smell of alcohol and ammonia. I made this exactly as stated. I didn't find it cleaned well at all. The smell of alcohol and ammonia is enough to make one stop breathing. I would rather spend a little extra and get a good smelling store bought cleaner that works without excessive scrubbing.

This stuff is awesome. I've already used up my first batch cleaning - got the stuff to make another bottle tonight. I live in military quarters and the tile is all white - I drive myself nuts keeping it clean. This is my answer. Great on my counter tops, stove top, etc. Thanks for posting.

I'm a believer! I whipped up half a batch to try it out and was AMAZED at how well it cleaned. I didn't have sudsy ammonia, so I used regular lemon ammonia and it worked very well. I clean my Kitchen counters faithfully every night using a clorox wipe, which I have to dry with a paper towel, otherwise it streaks my glossy corian type countertops. I thought my counters were clean. I could not believe the dirt that came up on the paper towel! I had to spray and wipe a few times before the towel came clean. Here I thought my counters were spotless! After using this stuff, they are streakless and spotless! Used it on my fridge and I saw the dirt dribbling down as I sprayed. Sprayed my sink and it shines and no streaks. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell. It was a bit overpowering at first, but I got used to it. I was whipping around my kitchen like a kid in a candy store cleaning everything I could get my hands on. This beats Magic Eraser a million fold. I'm sold. I love this stuff. ETA: Ohhh my - I just noticed something - I didn't add the water to it. It wasn't in the ingredient list. I used it totally undiluted! I guess that explains the strong smell. ETA: I wet a clean microfibre cloth in water then spray the cleaner, wipe to clean with the wet cloth and then wipe dry with a dry/clean microfibre.

Thanks for a wonderful cleaning recipe! You give me hope for those horribly stubborn "tried-everything-else-and-it-hasn't-worked-yet" stains underneath the stove drip-pan rings. Thanks! By the way, something concerned me and I hadn't seen anyone else mention it when I read through the reviews...I wouldn't advise ever putting this in a gallon milk jug container, or any other food container. While the odds are that nothing will ever happen, all it takes is one person (a small child, an elderly person with dementia or a poor sense of smell...you name it) to mistake this for something edible. Perhaps even if you could simply mix it up and immediately pour it into 4 spray bottles, then rinse and recycle the jug. I just wouldn't store it in there, for safety's sake. Rather safe than sorry. Thanks again for a wonderful recipe, Kelley!

I mixed this up quite a while ago and put it into spray bottles. It's time for another batch. It's when I came back to my cookbook to make more that I noticed that I hadn't reviewed it. I use it all the time to spray down my fiberglass shower after each use. It really cuts down on the hard water build up on the fiberglass. Then I just spray the hot shower water over it to rinse it clean.

I LOVE this! I was VERY skeptical. I'm a huge "it has to be store bought to work" kind of gal. NOT THE CASE!!
This degreases very well and leaves a nice CLEAN smell. I haven't tried it on glass yet though, but as a general cleaner, it's wonderful!

This is an excellent cleaner. My kitchen tile shines like it's brand new. I've used it on my stove and it cleans better than any brand name product I've ever purchased. Try this, you will not be disappointed.

Great cleaner...finally found sudsy ammonia and this recipe was on the bottle...shock! (The wording on the bottle states not to use it on varnished wood). I have used it on just about everything. Won't be buying anymore storebought stuff, this is quick and easy to make...not to mention, very inexpensive!

I have been wanting to try this for a long time and finally got around to it last night. I think my expectations were too high because of all of the great reviews. When I first started cleaning the countertops, I thought it was okay but not phenomenal. I thought it dried a little spotty. I then used it to clean the refrigerator and was impressed.Although I think some commercial cleaners work better, I think this would work great in a pinch. If nothing else, it is much more economical.

DH used this when he cleaned ALL of our windows and sliding glass doors last week. He said it was the BEST glass cleaner he ever used.
