This is an excellent starter recipe. It may help for beginners, however, to make sure their water is between 105-115 degrees F or the yeast will work, thus dough will not rise. I also added to this some dried oregno and dried basil, along with a premixed garlic herb spice. Not only does it smell awesome.. it adds sooo much flavor to the end result!! Also for beginners... you will know you've kneaded your bread enough when you touch it and it "bounces back"! Enjoy!

Karen thank you for a fabulous dough recipe! Made this for Super Bowl pizza and DH was astounded. He said it tastes like i brought home from pizza shop. I made a few alterations to the dough as this states it is a basic recipe. I added 1 tsp garlic powder, palmful of italian herbs, and additional tsp of basil to the dough mix. Once dough completed I rolled onto a very light coating of corn meal to give it a rustic taste. It came out fabulous. Made a 14 in thick crust pizza cooked on a pizza stone. This is in faves!!!

This was delicious! I used it to make 4 calzones - 2 with spinach, well-drained cottage cheese and mozzarella & 2 with pepperoni, sausage and mozzarella. They smelled unbelievable while baking and tasted even better! Served with warm marinara sauce and the hubster and I were in heaven!

This made one awesome pizza. My kids love to be able to help stretch the dough. I sprinkled a bit of corn meal on the pan before because we like our crust crunchy. Thanks for a great dough recipe.

This pizza dough is great! I am afraid that I will never try another pizza dough recipe again since this one turned out so good and it was very easy to make. I used my bread machine and didn't get to make my pizza's until the next day so I refrigerated the dough. The next day after it sitting in the fridge it was still very easy to work with and nothing had to be added. I think the next time I will add fresh garlic and some herbs. I made 2 crusts and froze 1. Hopefully, that will work. I have never froze pizza dough before. Thank you for a keeper!!!!!!

This was a great pizza crust. I normally just buy dough at the grocery store but today I could not and I still wanted calzones so I looked for a recipe and found this. YUMMY! I added basil and garlic to my dough. It was perfect. I made 4 10 inch circles (folded them into calzones) Thank you for the recipe
