My mother used to make this soup for our lunch all of the time. I had forgotten how good it is. I think maybe Amy MCGS let it boil after adding the milk, as I've never had a problem with it. Thanks Aroostook for posting this quick, inexpensive and easy soup. It brings back many fond memories.

Unfortunately, we didn't care for this one at all. The flavors didn't blend, even after simmering for more than ten minutes on the stove. It tasted like warm milk with tomatoes floating in it. I think it needs some tomato sauce or something to give the broth more flavor. Maybe someone else will have better luck with this recipe. Thanks anyway!

Delicious. I used a can of organic chopped tomatoes, warmed the mixture (without getting it too hot) added some fresh basil, and topped it off with some grated parmesan. I didn't have any problem with the flavors blending as did AmyMCGS. Perhaps it was the tomatoes she used or the long cooking time?

This was quite good tomato bisque me and my family really thought it a little to chunky for us so I blended it before i good it in a blander so it was more creamy. But over all this is one of my favs =)
