This is one of the very best cobbler recipes. So easy to make. I added just a little bit more sugar than the recipe called for. I also used this recipe to make a fresh peach cobbler. Yummy!!

Great old fashioned taste and "comfort" as others had said! Very delicious with vanilla ice cream! Had no problem with the sugar issue, as we always adjust the sugar in just about every recipe automatically(always use less sugar)Family just doesn't like things as sweet as many people. Used a frozen berry medaley and it was very delicious. thanks for a winner!

Made this for the 4th of July. I loved getting all the compliments that I should have given Di credit for. But I basked in her glory! It is an easy to follow recipe and it tastes very good. I used frozen blackberries, applesauce in place of the oil and I split my sugar - half to the berries and half to the cake. I also added nuts. It's a keeper that I will use with other fruits in the future. Thanks so much.

I ended up making two cobblers. With the first one I noticed that all the sugar was in the syrup so, I added half the syrup to the cobbler. Turned out very soupy. So, the second time around, I added the berries only and then sprinkled 1/2 cup sugar over the entire dish. This did the trick ! Twas Great ! !Very good recipe although I prefer a little more pastry crust in mine so, next time I plan on using 1 1/2 times what the recipe calls for. Thanks

Blackberry cobbler is a favorite dessert in this family. My dad has blackberries growing wild in his backyard so I was able to use fresh berries. I used 1/2 cup sugar at first but after tasting the berries, added 1/4 cup more sugar. That made them sweet but did not loose all the tartness. This made an excellent cobbler and I will be glad to make it again.

GREAT, Tasty, easy to make Blackberry cobbler. Served it with vanilla ice cream. Heated up the leftover and served with cool whip, yummy both ways. The only change I made was to use 1/2 cup splenda instead of sugar. Thank you,I will be making this again & again.

This is the best cobbler I have ever had! I made one and my husband and a friend of his got a spoon and scraped the dish to finish it. Now I have my berries in a bowl ready to make a second one. I put 1/2 cup of sugar on the berries and 1/2 in with the four mixture. It was done in 45 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe.

good recipe, but i like a pie crust better. The crust was more like a biscuit. But had a good flavor. My berries were sour so i used a whole cup of sugar.

Tasted good, but as other reviewers suggested, I think next time I will mix some of the sugar into the dough instead of all with the berries.

this was THE best cobbler ever! i did make one change though: i subbed strawberries for blackberries (since blackberries aren't available where i am). i did wat sacajawea suggested and sprinkled sugar on top of the strawberries in the end instead of mixing and letting them sit. the two of us finished the whole thing lol. just perfect!!
