This is an excellent potato salad recipe. I used celery salt instead of the salt and celery seeds because I did not have the seeds, but it turned out fine. It is a very mild taste. Next time I will add a little more mustard, perhaps something spicy. I will absolutely use this recipe again. Thank you!

Wonderful potato salad! I used russet potatoes (no reds on hand), however otherwise prepared as instructed with the addition of just a tad more salt as to personal perference. This is basically the way I normally prepare potato salad, only with the addition of some thinly sliced celery. We enjoyed it with our barbecued ribs; a great combination! Thanks for sharing!

Made this for our pre-Canada Day BBQ tonight. It was such a hit! I added some very finely chopped red pepper and red onion and used chopped gherkins instead of relish (didn't have any- but it was basically the same thing). It was very creamy and delicious. I used a spicy mustard but there is lots of room for variation (honey mustard, dijon, whole grain..). Thanks for another winner!

Yet another FABULOUS recipe from Nurse Di!! I loved this potato salad! I made pretty much exactly as directed and it was creamy and had just the perfect flavour! Though I love my Mom's potato salad and I usually follow her method, (which is just a throw together and not a specific recipe)I may be abandoning it for this one, as I found it easier to have specific amounts, that produced the desired flavour & consistency, without having to add a little more salt here, a little more pepper there, another spoonful of miracle whip....( which sometimes leads me to overdo it!) This comes out JUST the way I like it in the end, with no second guessing! I did make extra hard boiled egg, which I sliced to arrange over top of the salad once in the serving bowl, and I topped it all off with a sprinkling of paprika. Next time I'm going to try it with a can of peas and some grated carrot added in, which we always include in our potato salad. Though I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this as is, and no additions are really needed, the taste is right on, but I do like the added colour that the peas and carrots give. My sister tried this and the next time she made potato salad she called me for the recipe! (she uses Mom's method normally too....you may have turned us into traitors!!!!!! LOL!!) Thank you so much for a delicious (and easy!) recipe!

Thanks Nurse Di. This is a very good potato salad that reminds of my Mom's. It tasted very creamy and I love the flavor of the celery seed. I made this for our Labor Day picnic down by the river. My family and friends all were very complimentary. Thanks for making me look good.

My family and I all agree, this is the best potato salad recipe we have tried. The standout flavors are the green onion and celery seed. The dressing was just right for out taste. Just a slight mustard taste but not too harsh. Thanks Nurse Di.

Absolutely delicious. The ingredients are simple and they create an excellent blend of flavors. This recipe is not complicated and is very easy to prepare. I served this as a side dish with BBQ burgers and baked beans.

My potato salad has always stood in the shadows of my mother-in-law's. It always lacked something that I never could quite put my finger on. I made this for my family and my husband's response was--"You made this salad?" I thought it had the perfect ratio of mayonnaise/mustard. It was not too tart and not too sweet. I also liked the flavor from the celery seed. I think that was the something missing from my potato salad. Anyway, thanks for sharing your recipe. It has found a home with my family.

Wow, this is a wonderful potato salad recipe. I can't think of much else to say that hasn't already been said. A perfect blend of ingredients that tastes great. Everything that I think a potato salad should be, creamy with a slightly zesty flavor. I wouldn't expect anything less from a Nurse Di recipe.

You can't have a 4th of July cook-out without potato salad--right. This was perfect. Creamy, just the right mix of mayo-mustard. The celery seed adds a little kick. Thanks for another wonderful recipe. NurseDi, you rock.
