This was so yummy. Even my 3 year old who won't eat regular cooked oatmeal in a bowl loved this. We ate it plain without topping it with anything. It goes great with a glass of cold milk. You could probably even chop up an apple and add it in if you wanted. Will definitely be making again. Thanks.

Great recipe! Didn't have any brown sugar, so I used white sugar and vanilla favoring instead. Added a little more cincinnamon, too. I don't eat oatmeal cereal because I don't like the texture of it. But I really like this. Tastes and smells like a oatmeal cookie. And the texture is almost the same as a soft oatmeal cookie. I baked it in a 9"x13" baking pan to decrease the baking time. Thanks.

Delicious--my friend gave several of us this recipe from "Cooking Light", and we all loved it. I think quick-cooking oats are necessary. I used 1 cup of old-fashioned, and they turned a little mushy. I agree that chopped apple would be nice. This recipe makes for a very nice breakfast!

MMMMMMM.......Me like! The oatage-meal slides down the gullet, like a fresh slippy fishy down to the grot of a bird. It fell apart in thy hand and burned thy skin. When too much was jammed into thy mouth, it stained thine platties. The little grains of cinnamon pleaded with me, "please don't eat me!" "I c...c....cc....can't! I must inhale thee little grains of cinnamon.

My 4 year old loved it, my 3 yo wouldn't touch it. But, is was very good. Tasted just like an oatmeal cookie. I had some buttermilk in the fridge, so I used that for the milk.

Made this for my DBF who loves oatmeal - added a little less sugar (1/4 cup) as he likes his oatmeal sugarless!! Had a piece and loved it!! thanks Terri!

This is a quick and easy dish. I used buttermilk instead of milk, and an apple instead of raisins, as well as increasing the cinnamon to a teaspoon and a half. However, my husband and I still didn't think this was sweet enough when done, so I topped the finished product with powdered sugar. That made it a lot tastier. Also, I baked this in a 9x9 pan for 21 minutes. Thanks for posting!

well i listened to humblhousewifes advice and i also like a more dense baked oatmeal so i reduced the baking pwd to 1/2 tsp and upped the milk by about 1/2 cup and i put walnuts and vanilla in them.. i also made them into cupcake form so i could freeze them for a quick on the go breakfast.. with all these adjustments they were delicious and dense. thanks for a great starter recipe.

We make this once a week... Yum! Very easy (uses nearly every measuring cup you have!), and delish.I sometimes add chopped apple, and we eat it with raw honey. Mmm Mmm Good!
