Great Gluten Free bagel recipe. Made exactly as stated and they came out delicious. Tried the egg wash on half the bagels as suggested by pixieglenn. The crust is a bit chewier and more like a 'real' bagel. Will use egg wash next time too. Also, topped some with course salt before baking - reminded me of fresh hot soft pretzels when they came out of the oven. Thanks for a great recipe Ukichix!

Thanks, my son has a gluten allergy so we have been searching for a decent substitute. The texture was actully good and he ate two of them already. Next time I might add a bit more salt or other seasoning for flavor but loved the fact it looked so close to the wheat bagels. Thanks

My GF 13 year old gives these a thumbs up! I took pictures that I'll have to post later. These were easy to make and quick too. If you are thinking that anything that is GF bread is going to have the consistency of 'wheat' bread, get over that thought right now
These have a different texture, but the flavor is great and when you add dried herbs to them they are really good too. I am wondering if adding an egg wash might give them a little crustier edge when baking? Thank for the great recipe!

These bagels were great. I was a little skeptical at first because of the flour mixture, but the texture was better than I expected. I substituted tapioca flour for the cornstarch, used dairy free milk replacer, as well as egg replacer and they turned out great. Because I made my bagels larger I only got 3, so next time I will make a double batch so I can freeze the extras.

They ended up tasting OK, even with a decent texture, but these were difficult to make. The dough would not come together and I had to add more milk. Then it got super sticky and was hard to work with. They looked not that great, but tasted OK.

this recipe was worth a try- these were fun & easy to make. too bad i tried substituting the starches with brown rice flour. the results were ok, but not fabulous .flavor was good but they didn't rise enough, so a little too dense. but i suspect it was my fault for switching things and i'm going to try again with the right ingredients!

this recipe is awful. Although easy to make, the terrible taste cannot be covered up by any amount of cream cheese

Oh! Yum! The only thing I did differently was add 1 Tbsp. of sugar to the salted water. Thats what my father(who had a bakery) used to do. They crisp up when baking a bit better. Thanks for posting a great recipe!

I think these bagels are great tasting. I followed the recipe and did the egg wash but still wish they were crispier on the outside. Toasted they are wonderful. I made mine with a 2" hole and thats too big. Ive never done bagels before. The dough was a little dry but was easy to work with.I got 8 bagels. Im freezing some and will be making again for sure. Thanks for the recipe. Kelly

These were fabulous! Easy to make and taste just like the ones from Kinnickinnik! I added an egg wash and sesame seeds to mine and they're fabulous. Thanks so much for this one!
