Awesome! I used this in Figgie's Saucy Forgotten Beef and it was sooo flavorful. (I am going to cut back a little next time as this seems to have even more flavor than the store bought variety.) I did substitute Splenda for the sugar. I love that I can make my own and reduce the preservatives in my family's food even more. Next time I'm going to make with my own home dried onion flakes too! Thanks Miller!!

I had just run out of the Lipton Onion soup and rather than go to the store thought I'd try copycat recipies of my favorite onion dip. I tried several and this is by far the best. Dare I say it.. I actually prefer this to the original!

Millie, I cannot thank you enough for this recipe. I have to order the real Lipton soup mix from the net and the cost is ridiculous. Finding this recipe made my day! You're a gem for sharing it!

Wonderful! I was assembling the ingredients for tonight's supper and realized I was out of Lipton Onion Soup mix, and remembered this recipe. The only thing I had to change was I used celery flakes ground up in my food processor because I didn't have any celery seed. Still turned out great! And it is definitely stronger than the pre-packaged kind. But I'll never buy pre-packaged again - this is just too easy and economical to make!

One can also use low sodium beef bullion powder for those of us who don't need extra salt. Great flavor and easy to make! Would be great mixed with sour cream for a chip dip.

Great substitute. I did not feel like running to the store to get the real stuff so I used this. I could not tell the difference. Thanks for the recipe.
