I loved it! Very easy and the taste is WAY better than the boughten stuff! I ended up making 6 batches! Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe.

We ran our tomatoes through a Victorio as the kids don't like chunky. Added some zucchini and summer squash since we have an abundance. I think this is the all-time best sauce I've ever had! Sorry mom.

This turned out great. I didn't do it exactly like the recipe. Here are the changes I made. I didn't add the hugarian pepper (didn't have one), I used two packages of bella mushrooms cut up (I don't like the canned ones), spices I did all the same with the exception of some added fennel, then I added pureed zucchini, spinach and various colored peppers. The spinach made the sauce a little darker red but the added nutrition was worth it. It turned out pretty chunky so I threw some in the blender to smooth it out a bit. Also, the extra vegetables made it a little runnier so I added another can of tomato paste. I canned in a pressure cooker in pints. I wasn't sure about the timing - I did them for 35 minutes at 15 pounds pressure. We ate the extra today for dinner and it was great. Thanks! We'll be doing this every year.

This is an excellent recipe. It makes a very chunky sauce. I like it a little saucier so I made some smooth pureed tomato sauce as well and mixed them together before canning for a great sauce that has just enough chunkiness for us!

I am going to give this 5 stars before I can even taste it. I am water bathing as we speak. I made this up this morning and have never made spaghetti sauce before. WOW! The aroma is unbeatable. I just called for 2 more bushels of tomatoes and want to make tons of this!! I didn't have 3 cans of paste so used 2. Seemed to thicken up nicely. Will add more "stuff" next batch eg: mushrooms etc. Thanks a million for the great recipe!

This was good sauce, but I wasn't crazy about the cumin in it. I think if I made it again I would omit it. I cut the recipe in half and just froze the leftovers in Freezer bags instead of canning. Potzi

I just tried this with the abundance of tomatoes right now it was a great way to use some of them up. Excellent flavor, now I am set for the winter.

Great sauce. I added more garlic, used red onions, used portabella mushrooms and ground turkey. Of course, with the turkey, I had to pressure can instead of waterbath.
