I made this and it was very good. I used left over turkey breast. I also added a large bag of mixed vegtables to not only add color but to make this a complete meal. I served it with a salad and corn bread and my family just loved it.

Really easy and great results! This makes a perfect basic white sauce, I wouldn't change it a bit. For our tastes I did add about a cup of cheddar to the sauce and about 10 or so dashes of tabasco. We like a little kick. I added a handful or peas and topped with the parm & galric and herb bread crumbs. I had plans last night so I made this for my husband who said it was wonderful. He also said our 15 month old gobbled it up, he could barely get a bite in. I am enjoying the leftovers for lunch as I write this and I agree completely that this is a keeper. Thanks Miss Annie!

I made this again and have revised my rating to 5 stars from 4. My DH and his brother both loved this, and they don't like casseroles. This was super easy to do. I added an extra portion to the meal and adjusted the quantities accordingly. I also added more mushrooms, about a cup of frozen veggies and 2 celery stalks. I added more salt and pepper than it called for. I also topped it with some breadcrumbs as well as parmasan cheese. I'll definately make this again, but in larger quantities for leftovers and freezing.

What a great casserole. Very easy to throw together and pop in the oven. Followed the recipe and it turned out great. Wasn't even any leftover for lunch today. Thanks for the keeper.

THie was great! DH and I LOVED it! Very rich and creamy...I was afriad it might be bland, but not at all! I didn't use the mushrooms, as DH doesn't like them, but I don't think we missed them. This is a great recipe, Miss Annie and one we fix again and again! Thanks!

Good stuff. Always nice to find a casserole recipe that doesn't call for some cream o' something soup. Rich and filling my family LOVED this!

this is a great basic chicken casserole. i made it for a potluck and it was gone...i had one bite from my husbands plate! i made some changes: left out the mushrooms because it was a potluck, i used butter instead of margarine, just cause i don't like margarine, and i crushed up butter and garlic croutons to put on the top. i'm definitely making this again, only next time i think i'll throw in some veggies.

I made this last night and I'm sorry we did not care for this. I really had hopes, I added fresh mushrooms and garlic and we just thought it was much too bland for our tastes. Thanks for posting.

I'm from the Midwest where bland is frequently in so I totally enjoyed this. I added some garlic and vegetables to make it a complete meal.
