I made these for a dinner party. I didn't have "shortening" and used butter instead. These rolls were heavenly!!! I served them with garlic olive oil and herbs so we could dip them. It was my first time making rolls (or any bread-type for the matter) and these were so simple! I will be making these again VERY soon!!!

Wonderful little dinner rolls, Mizz A! Super-quick to mix up and have ready in time for dinner, and with stuff I keep on hand anyway. The end result is a light, golden, yummie little morsel! We really enjoyed, and I definitely will make them again! Thanks so much for sharing this big winner! Laudee

These are super easy to put together when time is short. They raise into light airy rolls & can take a meal of leftovers a step higher--to planned overs!

These rolls are exactly what I was looking for quick and easy! They turned out wonderful and tasted great, like what one of the other reviewers said "better then store bought rolls", well I agree!! Thanks Miss Annie....

Great rolls. Still trying to figure out why they stuck to my pan even though I sprayed it with Pam. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I just finished making these and they are fantastic. I've never been able to make dinner rolls but with this recipe it was easy and quick. I did use 1/2t more of the salt and substituted milk for the water as was suggested in other reviews. I will be making these time and time again. Thanks!

These rolls were amazing!!! I made them tonight to go with a beef stew and they were perfect together. They browned up so nicely. This recipe is definitely a keeper!!!
Thank you miss Annie.

This is the most versatile recipe there is. I use it for pizza dough, focaccia, bread bowls, etc. It is easy and I don't have to wait as long as with the bread machine. Thank you Miss Annie!

Prepared just as written. This yielded a light and airy textured roll. Easy to make-very easy. Used 2 teaspoons yeast and that was the perfect amount. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
