OMG, just tried this recipe yesterday as an after-school drink....YUMMY is all i can say! I also used frozen strawberries, added a banana (strawberry and banana drinks are my all time fav.) and used 1/2 cup water and added 3 large ice cubes, came out perfect!! I WILL be making this again (and again....and again....)

I tried this recipe with strawberries I had frozen along with a cup of vanilla ice cream and a cup of small ice cubes in place of the water. It turned out cold and thick and was delicious! My teenagers loved it. Next time I'll make it using "Nutrasweet" in place of some of the sugar for myself.

Super recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and since my processor handles ice, I opted for the 1/2 cup ice instead of water. It really does taste like a mall julius.

A delightful return to my childhood in less than 5 minutes. This was a perfect replica of the original drink, full fruit-milk flavor without the thickness of a smoothie or shake. I used 1/8 cup of Splenda as my strawberries were particularly sweet. Wouldn't change a thing except to say it was only one serving - as I wasn't sharing.

Have to agree with everybody else! I will try it with powdered sugar next time to see how that works. It should be the perfect pina colada with pineapple and coconut extract.

OMG!! I used frozen strawberries, SKIM milk, BANANA extract, a few ice cubes, and 1/4 cup water. It was positively SCRUMMY!! My mom and I both LOVED this! It was sooooooo creamy and dreamy from the frozen berries and even from the SKIM milk! However, mom remarked on how the banana flavor was too overpowering. Maybe it should be scaled down to a 1/2 tsp because who has measuring spoons that measure in 3rds anyway? Anyway, thanks for the recipe. I adore it very much. Would be a perfect summer treat! I'm sure you can use OTHER fruits as well. Oh, the possibilities...

Super easy wonderful smoothie. I used 1 cup frozen strawberries, a full cup of skim milk (left out the water), and 1/8th of a cup of splenda plus 1/8th of a cup of sugar. My 2 year old and I loved it!

I'm ashamed I haven't left a review sooner because we have been devoted fans of this recipe for a long time. My oldest son makes this for us, the only change being we use frozen strawberries. It's absolutely wonderful and refreshing -very close to the Strawberry Julius at the mall -but even cheaper and tastier! Thanks so much!

Oh yum! I posted only four stars because using the ingredients in the amounts listed only yielded one half glass as opposed to the two stated and the consistency was far too thick to be drinkable. So I just added some milk, without measuring. Then the taste was a bit too bland so I added a half banana and some more vanilla. Pure heaven! Thanks for the delicious idea.

I use light vanilla soy milk & Splenda in mine... and I make em all the time now! Thank you so much for the recipe, it really does taste like a strawberry julius, too!
