I made this for my on-the-go breakfast this morning and really enjoyed it. As others have noted, it was a very thick and filling shake. I halved the recipe as it was just for me and quickly realized my mistake as all my kids wanted some as well.
I love the fact that it has oatmeal which adds fiber that most shakes and smoothies are lacking. I will definitely be making it again! Thanks for posting! Prepared for Went to Market game - Feb. 2008.

I had to make just a few changes to this great smoothie. I used frozen blueberries instead of a frozen banana and didn't have vanilla yogurt on hand so I used boysenberry. I think I wouldn't use frozen anything next time as it is thick enough on its own.

This is very good. I used frozen blueberries and 1/2 banana (not frozen). Delicious. Thanks MsSally

A great, thick and filling shake. I used all ingredients as stated except I used a whole, unfrozen banana and frozen blueberries. Whirrled it up in my magic bullet and had my breakfast to go.

I really enjoyed the blend of flavors in this smoothie. All I had was peach soy yogurt, and I used light vanilla soymilk. Another keeper. Thanks for posting!

Made this as a mid morning snack for my toddler DD & I, a very nice combo, gorgeous colour & nice & filling. Would have liked it just a little sweeter though so may add a little honey next time. Thanks MsSally.

I'm not going to give this a starred rating because it was my first time using oatmeal in a smoothie and I didn't like the texture...personal taste. Otherwise the flavor was very nice. I used Activia mixed berry yogurt. Made for 1-2-3 hit wonders.

I am supposed to add more oatmeal to my diet but I really don't like cooked oatmeal at all. This was a great alternative! I didn't change a thing and it was perfect for my taste. This make a satisfying, healthy breakfast.

5 stars+. I too am an oatmeal freak and have it most mornings. Well, not this a.m. as I knew I was having this for lunch. Love, love, loved it Sally. The texture had to come from the oatmeal. I've made many smoothies in my lifetime and this one ranks right up there in flavor/taste/texture. I followed your recipe exactly as written. This one will be made again and soon!!!. Glad I tagged for Market Tag~

This was a very light smoothie.I think I'm probably also more used to having a stronger flavoured/sweeter smoothie. It seemed to be missing a little something for me. One thing I'd do differently next time is to grind up the oats in my coffee grinder, just because my blender doesn't quite crush them as much as I'd like, and little bits of oats in my smoothie isn't very appealing. It was nice to try though and I really like the idea of adding oats to a smoothie. Thanks!
