Thanks for the memories too! That's just what's for dinner tonight! It's a southern thing I'm sure. They are Great. Home grown tomatoes on these are good too! From a Bama Girl

Had these for lunch yesterday. What a walk down memory lane, as these are right out of my childhood. OK...I cheated just a tad and did add a bit of sliced vidalia onion and a few drops of hot sauce...we didn't do that as kids, but it's just an adult preference. I don't usually buy bolongna, but for some reason when at the grocery this past week, it just seemed appealing. Thanks for sharing!

OH YEAH!!!! I had these growing up as well. Later I began adding bacon, lettuce, tomato, swiss cheese, etc. We just put the whole thing on white bread with mayo, but boy are they good. Thanks for the memories Little Bee.

Oh my goodness, what memories this brings back! I had these all the time growing up. So glad to see this posted and that others enjoy it too. Gee I thought I was the only one that cut slits in them to prevent curling LOL! This is will be on my grocery list in the near future. Thanks for posting Little Bee!

Sorry guys!!! Hate to burst your bubble about this recipe being a "southern thing"! I grew up on fried bologna sandwiches and I came from good ol' Montreal, Quebec. I don't think I have had these since I left home at 18 years of age....and that is some years ago!!! Thanks for the memories!!

I grew up in the Midwest & this is the 1st thing I learned to cook when I was growing up! There's not much better than fried bologna, as a sandwich or by itself.

My family loves these. Both my husband and I had these on regular bread and just plain (without mustard or cheese)when times were tougher. Sometimes we would buy the chubs of bologna (unsliced) so we could slice it thicker. I think it's time to have one of these again really soon. Thanks for bringing up good memories.
