I love baked oatmeal and truly enjoyed the texture of this recipe. I served this with maple syrup on the side for drizzling. Made for ZWT 4

First time having baked oatmeal - but for sure will not be my last!! This is perfect for breakfast as it is not too sweet - had mine with some low-fat yogurt and fruits. Delish! Thanks puppitypup!

I like baked oatmeal, but found this was not sweet enough for me. I did leave out the dried fruit, because I don't like who they rehydrate when cooking. So...maybe that was the reason that it wasn't sweet enough. Still, I think it needs a little more cinnamon and a couple of tbsp of brown sugar. I did end up serving with milk and a litle brown sugar on top.

I make something very similar to this with grated apple in it so I was trying out this as an alternative which I will now definitely do again. It was moist and not too sweet which I loved. I doubled the recipe and I served it with fresh fruit and vanilla yoghurt. Thankou puppitypup for posting this.

The walnuts get nice and toasted with this oatmeal. I reduced the amount of butter and added some maple syrup over the top for some extra sweetness. If I were to make it again, I would add additional brown sugar. A nice healthy breakfast!

This was lovely, I did a half batch but still used the egg. I used dried cranberries & blueberries and slivered almonds in place of walnuts. I subbed Splenda for the sugar & left out the butter, served with vanilla yoghurt this made a healthy & filling brekky for 2. Made for ZWT 4.

This was a real breakfast treat. I made it with almonds rather than walnuts as they were the only nuts I had. I think this recipe lends itself to all sorts of substitutions--dried cherries and almonds, dried apricots and pecans, etc. Other than the nut substitution I made this as written. I thought the amount of sugar was just right and I did not add any when serving. Thanks for a very yummy recipe puppitypup. Made and reviewed for ZWT4.

This made a nice breakfast for me and the kids this morning before we go berry picking. I am trying to get them away from processed cereals. They liked pretty well. I thought it was very satisfying. I added some maple syrup on top with milk for serving. It needed that little bit more sweetness for us. Thanks for sharing. Made for my Babes ZWT4.

I love baked oatmeal, and this is no exception. I have never made it with cranberries, so that was a nice addition. I did add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to this, and I don't like things too sweet. I also added more walnuts and baked it for 30 minutes. It was a great breakfast!
