It would have been very good only that 2 cups of sugar was wayyy too much!

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. Oh man, what a disaster. I followed the recipe TO A "T" (except for putting in 1 and 3/4 cup sugar instead of the 2 full cups) and this did not set. Looked NOTHING like the picture. Was a watery mess. I had to freeze it to make it hard enough to eat, and even with freezing for DAYS it still fell apart in the fingers within seconds. The taste was like a peanut butter caramel and the consistancy was like something you could pour over ice cream. I keep reviewing the recipe (it's so simple) to see where I could have gone wrong but I"m at a loss. Maybe my heat was too high that it boiled over? I don't know. Total disaster. The only reason it got 2 stars was because we ate it and enjoyed the flavor.
