This was a very good way to do something different with ground beef! I did not have fresh tomatoes, only a can of stewed tomatoes which worked out just fine. I used the refridgerated tortillas instead of "chapatis"...which for all I know, could be the same thing! Will make this again for sure.

Very good, mild curry. I used a 14 fl oz tin of diced tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes as tomatoes were out of season.

I made this for lunch today. It turned out perfect and even loved it. I use my last lonely tomato then opened a 15 ounce can of diced for the other 2 the recipe called for. I liked the hint of ginger in this but I think next time I'll add more curry. Thank you for posting. I made this for Zaar World Tour 4 2008 round 3 the African Region I'm playing on the team Tastebud Tickling Travelers

This made for a perfect lunch. Dazzled those taste buds. Other then needing to sub canned plum tomatoes to equal the three medium tomatoes I made as posted. Served with rice making for one delicious meal.

This is a wonderful recipe. The flavors really make this dish. I served it with "Tanzanian Vegetable Rice". Awesome meal

Wow was this yummy. I added some extra curry powder (2 tbsp) and used Homemade Curry Powder for my curry powder. I also had to sub canned diced tomatoes, powdered ginger and coriander powder for the fresh tomatoes, ginger and cilantro since I didn't have any on hand and it went well with everything. Great dish!

oooh is this yummy. i like a drier curry than one sopping in sauce and its so easy to put together. I subbed galangal for ginger and used Madras Curry Powder as the curry powder. Its a keeper!

This was made using ground turkey and a can of diced tomatoes in place of fresh. The curry powder was Madras Curry Powder and even though I added more than called far it wasn't quite enough. This was served on top of Rice Cooked in Coconut-(Wali Wa Nazi). Made for ZWT 4

This was really easy and tasty. I also went with a can of diced tomatoes but otherwise kept to the recipe and I enjoyed that it was a mild curry (I am a spice wimp) but wasn't tasteless. When my partner cleared away the dishes he said 'that was good food' which is always a thumbs up. Made for ZWT4.

Wonderful ground beef curry! We are wimpy when it comes to highly seasoned or "hot" foods but this was perfect for us. The bit of heat was not overwhelming and the flavors were so fresh and nice. I used ground chuck. ginger powder, and parsley instead of cilantro. There were only 2 tomatoes in the fridge so I used petite diced tomatoes and added some of the juice. Served with brown rice and there is a bit left that I will have for lunch tomorrow. So easy to make and tastes great! Made and reviewed for ZWT 4.
