OUTSTANDING! INCREDIBLE! DELICIOUS! I had never heard of this kind of soup until my husband devoured a bowl at a restaurant. So I went on a search and I found this recipe-I'm my husbands new hero. We both loved this soup. It was one of the easiest soups i've ever made. I wasn't sure how much 1 1/2lbs of celery was, so i used an entire bunch of celery. i also used table cream (18%M.F.) and loved the result! This has become a favorite soup of mine! I can't wait for the fall weather to come to enjoy another bowl of this tasty soup. Thank you sooo much for posting!

This is the most delicious celery soup I've ever tasted. Even my husband who doesn't really like celery loved it because it doesn't have an overpowering celery flavour. The addition of hot sauce at the end gave it a nice little kick. This is one I will definetly mke regularly.

This soup was so easy to make and was full of flavour. I used vegetable stock and cut the lemon juice back to 3 teaspoons. I also added 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg at the end. I had a little less than the required amount of celery and I wanted a nice, thick soup so I used only 5 cups of stock. My stick mixer pureed the soup to a lovely smooth consistency. A wonderful recipe that I'll be making often. Thank you!

This was my first time making Celery Soup and it turned out wonderful. I may try it with a lighter cream next time just to cut down on the fat. I will be making this again.

This was so good. It was nice and thick. I used a hand blender right in the pot and didn't puree it to death. I had no cream on hand so I served it with a dollop of plain yogurt on top. It Looked good and had way less calories. A Keeper.

This was a very satisfying and tasty soup, easy to prepare and made the house smell the way a home should be. I would go easy on the lemon juice as I felt that it could mask the more subtle flavour of the celery, but it did taste good. Thanks for the recipe Lorac.

This was delightfully warm and yummy on a cold winter's night. Very easy to prepare, and tasted wonderful even before we added the cream!

Great soup! I added 5 cloves garlic and used fresh homeade chicken broth. I'll be making this often, thanks.

Very good soup. I didnt quite know how much 1.5 pound of celery is, so i used a whole stalk of it. I used regular milk instead of heavy cream and it was still quite good. I will make this again.

Lovely recipe! I've made it twice and everyone's loved it, even the non-celery lovers. The second time I made it, the brand-new carton of cream I bought was lumpy (dontcha hate that!) so I used an 8 oz. package of cream cheese (cubed)and just made sure it was all melted before I served. OMG! It was fabulous!!
