I love this stuff. I grew up in a small town in northern Indiana (Shipshewana) and I was raised on this. This was the peanut butter that we always had on sandwiches at school even. My mom always made sure to keep lots of it on hand. I haven't had it in a long time. My mom passed away and I never could find her recipe. I thought I knew what was in it but not sure of the amounts. Thank you so much for posting this.

Ok now that I've made this it's GREAT. Tastes just like the stuff I buy in Shipshewana at the Amish stores and so easy to make! I think I'm going to give this away for Christmas gifts along with homemade wheat bread. THanks!

My sister married an amish fellow when I was younger. His mother made this for us and I remember this recipe tasting just like hers. This is the best recipe. I love it. Easy to make and yummy!!!

Not the recipe I was looking for, but WOW is this fantastic!!! Put some on graham crackers. Gonna buy some chocolate ice cream and use it as a topper tomorrow (I'll get a photo then). Delicious!!!!!
