I SERIOUSLY can't be the only one that thinks TWO TABLESPOONS is WAY too much Baking Powder!?!!? I questioned putting this much in, but trusted the recipe and all the reviews... in the end my 3 yo and I both threw out our waffles, we couldn't stand the bitter taste of all the baking powder! :P

My husband wanted waffles this morning so I used this recipe. My daughter is allergic to eggs so I used her egg replacement powder in place of the eggs. The recipe worked perfectly. I chose this recipe b/c unlike the majority out there, this one didn't have separate the eggs and fluff the whites. This would be impossible to do my egg replacement. They were crunchy and tasted great. I also loved the fact that they don't contain sugar. This is a keeper. Thanks!

I adore waffles and I must say that I enjoyed these delicious waffles very much diner. They were light, fluffy, crispy and tender. I served mine with icing sugar. A nice treat with a nice eggy flavor. Thanks so much for sharing.

I, too, selected this recipe because I didn't want to separate egg whites and yolks. I also had some "white whole wheat flour" with 100% wheat germ and bran (King Arthur brand) that I needed to use. Since the recipe already has soda as one of the ingredients, I figured it wouldn't have to be changed. Sure enough, the waffles were *perfect*! I was afraid the 2 TBS of baking powder would be too much, but it wasn't. The batter was thicker than I am accustomed to, but I just spread it a bit with my dipper. Whole wheat flour makes more filling waffles, so instead of 2 per person, one was enough. I will definitely use this recipe again — exactly as is.

Great waffles. I doubled the recipe and only had 5 eggs so that's what I used. They were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfect. I love the fact that there is no sugar. You can't even tell after you add syrup. Next time I think I'll substitute half the oil with applesauce and see how they turn out.

FINALLY getting around to making these and getting them reviewed. Mine didn't get as crispy on the outside but I think it may be that I have a belgian waffle iron. Flavor was good and I will be making these again as it's much simpler then my "norm" recipe. Congrats on your football pool win.

*Reviewed for ZWT3*Great waffles. I like that there was no sugar to this recipe, especially since we always have sweet toppings. Served with ice-cream and strawberries. My family want to give you more than 5 stars. Thanks for a great recipe. This made 7 waffles for us.

These are excellent. I made pancakes instead of the waffles because I was being lazy. Very easy to put together. I made as directed except I cut the oil to 1/4 cup and that seemed to work well. Very light and fluffy. Thanks
