I made this twice, the first time I didn't grind up the oatmeal finely before adding the other ingredients and the second time I did. The second attempt tasted better I think... less of the tiny little "bits". Please see my Rating System: 4 stars for a tasty refreshing smoothie. Thanks!

I loved the flavor of this smoothie!!! Made this for breakfast for 15 yo DS and myself today. He loved the flavor but not the texture. He preferred the other smoothie we made of yours, which included a banana, and I think that helped hide the texture of the oatmeal. Next time I would try adding a banana to this recipe and see what he thinks then!!!! Thanks MsSally for another great smoothie!!!

I must admit I was a bit leary about the oatmeal. I also used red raspberries (1/2 cup) as I did not have any strawberries, but I used a red berry!! This excellent will be made again. Made for ZWT3,

I had never thought to add oatmeal to a smoothie but it turned out nice. I made this for the kids this morning and they wish it was just a bit sweeter, but I liked it as it was. As another reviewer commented about add flax seeds, I will try that next time. Thanks!

This is an excellent start to your morning! I was a little hesitant about having oatmeal in my smoothie, so I decided to give it a little grind on it's own in the blender before adding the rest of the ingredients. I made the recipe as directed, using fresh blueberries and also used an entire 6 oz container of Light Fat Free French Vanilla Yogurt. It was so good, I wanted a second! Thank you, MsSally!

Started a new job this week, and my eating habits have really gone to Hell. I have depended on smoothies this week for basic nutrition and diet balance. This is a goodie! I tried as posted, with no changes, and it's d-e-l-i-c-i-u-o-s! Being, as I am, I am also a protein, fibre, and nutrition freak. And, I have no fear of fat. Tonight, I made this smoothie...reverting to my own habits/preferences when making the shake. This means I add protein powder, 1/3 C white beans, 1/3 C cottage cheese, and 2 Tbsp ground flax..used my stick blender to turn into a smoothie. I love your recipe, and how it goes so well with my added preferred ingredients. I just want smoothies that are "whole meals", and this one helps a lot!....a winner, and a keeper. Thanks for posting, MsSally!

This smoothie is delicious and not too sweet. I used about 7-8 strawberries cause they were small. Thanks MsSally

Absolutely delicious and my husband and I loved the addition of oatmeal in a smoothie. I added a couple of TBS of splenda just to make it sweeter. And I used sugar free, fat free vanilla yogurt. Great healthy and light treat. Thanks for posting.
