165 Reviews of Hamburger Noodle Bake

Another 5 star review for MizzNezz! The best part of this recipe was that the cheese did not overwhelm the dish. We used low fat sour cream with regular cream cheese. It turned out a very tasty and creamy product. Even though I did not add salt, I did not miss it in the recipe. The garlic was just the right amount, and it sent a wonderful aroma throughout the entire house. I used the minced garlic in the jar to save time. It's a great alternative to lasagna, it goes together quick, and your family will swear that you spent hours in the kitchen! Thank you Nezz! We loved it!

We loved this dish it was so yummy we ate every last bit! I used lite sour cream, lite cheese and lite cream cheese and I used tubular spaghetti broken up as I had no noodles but I think you could use any pasta for this dish. Will be making it again and again a permanent keeper Thanks!

I really am NOT a casserole fan....but boy was I pleasantly surprised!!! My BF said it was a 6 or 7! This dish was so good! I used some of the suggestions in the reviews as to the ingredients to add some more flavor;I used about a 1/4 cup of chopped onions, a tad more garlic,Italian Seasoned Tomato Sauce, Sargento's 4 Cheese Mixture and Shredded Parmesean. I served it with 4 cheese garlic bread and a side salad. Not one noodle remained! Thank you for such a quick, easy and tasty recipe!

I Loved this dish. I am not a red meat eater, so I substituted ground turkey browned in a bit of butter~also used a combination of cheddar & Jack cheese as that was what I had on hand. I made it the night before, covered it, put it in the refrigerator and it was ready to in the oven when I got home from a long day at work. This was fabulous! Thanks for a great recipe MizzNezz!

Prepared this dish expecting to enjoy it but was pleasantly surprised when we all LOVED it. Such a nice change of pace from the usual Italian casserole recipes I have. The cream cheese and sour cream really add a new dimension to the flavors. This will be a regular at our house from now on!! Thanks MizzNezz for sharing it! — posted Mar 2, 2005 UPDATE: I have found you can also prepare this in your crockpot & it is still delicious! I mix all the ingredients, rather than layering them, saving about 1/4 cup cheddar cheese for the top. This dish has been extremely popular with everyone I've served it to, no matter if it is the casserole or crockpot version. Thanks again!

I love this casserole! So simple and wonderful on a cold snowy night. I did not know whether to cover it or not and I did not, the top started to get very crunchy so I then covered it. Now my hubby loves it crunchy but if you want it soft I would cover it. My casserole took 45 minutes to cook but was well worth it. Thanks for sharing this recipe

Not sure when to expect family, I prepared in advance and when I saw headlights, popped it into the oven since it only takes 20 mins to heat. I used 1/4 cup onions and 3/4 tsp of Italian Seasoning, low-fat Sour Cream and Fat Free Cream cheese and it worked out well. I used egg noodles but will go with a tubular pasta next time. I agree it could use more red sauce, so next time I'll add another 4ozs. tomato sauce and a little more seasoning. Thanks MizzNezz, another keeper!!!

I made the hamburger noodle bake Saturday, and we really really enjoyed it. The cream cheese and the sour cream made it creamy! It was quick, simple, and not from a box! I did as some of the others that reviewed it did by adding the cream cheese and sour cream to the sauce. Much easier! I added mushrooms, and onions to my sauce, and I used fresh mozzerela and sharp cheddar cheeses. This was definitely a winner and thank you for sharing!

It's seems so simple, but this dish was fabulous. I used about 1/3 of the amount of cream cheese and sour cream called for (just watching our caloric intake), but it was still quite good. The cream cheese and sour cream are a very nice touch to this recipe. Thanks!

Made this twice. EVERYONE loved it! They all commented on its subtle sweetness BEFORE I told them about the cream cheese.
