This is probably the finest fruit salad I have ever tasted! It is contrary to my nature to make a recipe just the way it is in the book, so here's what I did. I reduced the water from 1/2 cup to 1/4 and made up the difference with light rum. Pecans are not high on my scale of great nuts, so I substituted almonds. Added large dashes of nugmeg and cinnamon. Superb!

I served it on Easter to my family and then at a wedding shower potluck at the office. It was a hugh hit both places. It's definitely a keeper!

Wow! This is the first fruit dish I have made in a long time that my ENTIRE family absolutely loved! My 5 yr old, 14 month old AND my husband all had seconds and asked me to make it any time I wanted. I used 1 granny smith and 1 gala apple, and red grapes, which added to the great colors in the salad. I also added mandarin oranges and omitted the pecans. I used the juice from the mandarin oranges combined with the pineapple juice and a little less water with great results. This makes a pretty large bowl, so if you will be making it for a small amount of people and would like leftovers, you may want to use less of the pudding mixture so it won't be too "saucy" as it sits. It is also a good idea to slice the bananas and strawberries on the thick side so they don't get slimy as they sit in the refrigerator. Thank you for a great and relatively healthy dish I can feel good about serving to my family....and because they WILL eat it!

As a newly diagnosed diabetic, I am desperately searching for recipes I can now eat. This one was really easy to make and tastes fantastic too. My husband even loves it more than I do and he can't wait until I make it again! Thanks!

When I made this recipe, I tasted it right away and loved it! However, I put it in the fridge overnight and found in the morning it had a new, unappetizing flavor. I think the strawberries were the biggest contributor to the taste. But as long as you serve it right away it is delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

A Very flavorful and colorful salad....I like the idea of sugar-free pudding, rather then whipped cream. Was a big hit at the potluck dinner!!

I made this for my family when they came for a visit. I didn't use the sugar free pudding mix. a I used "French vanilla" instead of just the plain vanilla. Tasted great. The family loved it. I enjoyed it as well and I am not a fruit eater.

I took this salad to an Easter brunch, and it was a big hit! My husband is diabetic, so it was healthy for him to eat. My mom has copied it and given it to many of her friends.

This is an excellent recipe for fruit. My husband is a diabetic and it is wonderful to give him his fruit this way for a change.
