Wonderful and very easy soup to prepare! I doubled the heartiness by using beef broth in place of the water, otherwise I made as directed for a wonderful and very tasty soup! I will hold on to this recipe for the future to make again! Thanks so much, Engrossed, for this great recipe : )

Everyone enjoyed this soup tremendously. I loved how easy it was to prepare. I added about 2 cups of extra water and let the soup simmer for a few hours until dinner. I also added about a cup of leftover cooked rice to the soup because I needed to do something with it. We ate it exactly as described the first time and it was excellent. The second bowls were topped with grated Cheddar Cheese and that was OMG Excellent!!! I halved the recipe and believe that 1/2 the recipe is more like 8 servings. I will be making this again! Good Luck Chef!!!

reviewed for RSC 9. My family loved this soup! As a matter of fact, becaue I only made 1/2 a recipe, they finished it all and I had no leftovers for the next day at lunch. Therefore, had to make another batch for the soup week. (I eat soup almost everyday)I love the thought of onion soup mix in the soup as a base and it really made the tastes stand out for the veggies and when we added cheese to our bowls. I like that it is easy to make and everything is generally in my freezer and pantry so this will become another soup collection for the rotation. Thank you.

We did love this soup! I used ground round and vegetable broth instead of water. Omitted the seasoning salt and added some chopped garlic. Great job Engrossed, thank you!

This chunky soup has a great combination of ingredients. Hearty meal that tastes even better the second time around after the flavors have developed more.

Easy and delicious. I made this soup for DH's thermos...perfect for lunches! I used frozen corn and skipped the sour cream and cheese. Good luck in the contest!

It was OK, it might be better with beef broth instead of water and whole package of onion soup mix and 1 1/2 lbs of hamburger.

Loved this soup! Great use of contest ingredients and awesome flavour. I used Copycat Lipton's Onion Soup Mix for the onion soup mix and a full tsp of basil-I love basil! I added about 1 tsp of garlic powder instead of garlci salt. The sour cream and parmesan cheese gave a great presentation and added extra flavour. Good Luck!

This was a very good recipe. I did added 1/4 cup of flour after I browned the ground beef. To thicken the soup. I also did not use diced tomatoes, but I used 2 cans of tomato sauce. we loved it!! It was great the second day!! Thanks!!!!
