There is a lot of veggies in this burger which is good for you but made them very fragile as they came apart easily. So be sure to keep the heat not to high because it should be flipped only once. Less handling the better also stove top is the better way to cook I made mine on the grill and had to be very carefull. I didn't get much of the Thai flavor coming through it seemed more just like a veggie burger. Panko crumbs in place of the bread crumbs would be a good thing. I expected an explosion of flavor which Thai food is known for ans didn`t get it. I suggest using Thai chili`s in place of the jalapeno for more heat. I made it on the roll as suggested but it would have be great in a lettuce wrap. As for no topping in the recipe I suggest a limey, mint, cucumber relish or a spicy peanut sauce. Mint, Thai basil, lemongrass, and cilantro would all have been great toppings to give this burger a more authentic Thai style. Thanks.

My friend lent me her electric grill so I decided to make this recipe. I am so glad I did. I had to use red curry paste b/c I could not get green but I don't think it changed the recipe that much. I also used fresh breadcrumbs because I was out of dried. I loved the fresh ginger in the recipe! I used the processor to process the carrots & bell pepper so that the 5 year old wouldn't notice them. Everyone loved these burgers, even DH2B who cannot stand coconut and detect it from a mile away! I will make these again! Good Luck Chef!

Tasty and creative! Way to use those RSC ingredients with flare. These were a nice treat and definitely out of the ordinary! Thanks chef! Best of luck!

I'm not a huge fan of Thai spice but wanted to try something different than the ordinary hamburgers. This had subtle flavors which made it a delicious difference. My son and I really enjoyed these.

Nice Thai flavoured burgers, but nothing exceptional. None of the flovours seemed strong enough. Possibly one I will try again, but with some definite tweaking involved.

Other than substituting ground turkey I followed the recipe exactly. I liked the inclusion of veggies in the burger. I thought it was a nice way to add veggies to the diet especially if you have kids. The flavor was good and had a representative Thai flavor. My problem with this recipe was the meat mixture was too moist to form into patties. I ended up adding more breadcrumbs and the patties were to soft to be grilled. I pan fried and they were still very fragile. I would make this again after tweaking a bit and probably add cilantro into the meat. Thank you for your creative entry and good luck in the contest!

It was a very good burger but not what we expected. I thought it would be a lot spicer that it was, there was no distinct flavour. couldn't taste the ginger, curry, or jalepeno. If I were to make it again I would leave out the breadcrumbs and double the spice mix. I did roast them in the oven but I really don't think that made a difference. It was a good meatie burger and did have a good basic flavour. Thanks for posting and good luck in the contest.

My DW and I enjoyed this recipe. It wasn't too strong on the spicy flavour and had just enough kick to make it different. I will be making these again. good luck, I see it's a contender.

Review posted for RSC #9. I made these burgers with not a jot of tweaking or substitution. They were tasty, but they did not have that extra pizazz one would expect of a "Thai style" burger. The half teaspoon fish sauce and 1 tablespoon coconut milk were not enough to impart a "Thai" taste, and why did the cook use salt instead of soy sauce, which might have been more appropriate? So it seems more forethought could have gone into the recipe. Unfortunately there was no time to grill them, which would have been great. But we ended up with lovely burgers, enjoyable, tasty and flavourful. We did not add much except onion rings and tomato, as it didn't really need anything more. This was a well-set-out recipe, but not yet a 4 star. We enjoyed our meal!! Thanks!

I was attracted to this immediately, I love Thai food and I also love burgers! These were VERY nice indeed, but we all thought that the spice mixture was just a bit too "busy" and the flavours were getting lost a bit. The burgers were delicious, and we loved the addition of the grated carrot; but we felt that there were too many flavours fighting with each other - I am so glad you posted this recipe however, I have made them a second time and tweaked the spice mixture a bit - I left out the fish sauce, sugar and increased the coconut milk slightly to about 1 and 1/2 tablespoons, and it worked much better for us! Thanks for posting this recipe, I am glad I tried it!
