7 Reviews of Chocolate Bliss Moisture Mask

From: LuckyDuck

On Sep 30, 2007

I gave myself a few hours off and had a chocolate and cinnamon spa day. I used the Gingerbread Body Scrub (Gingerbread Body Scrub) along with the Cinnamon Oatmeal Milk Bath (Cinnamon Oatmeal Milk Bath) along with this mask. Since I was going to soak away in the tub I doubled the recipe and used it all over my upper body. I changed it a bit and used half honey and half yogurt, don’t know if that changed the consistency or not. Its really not as messy as you’d think, obviously you don’t want to touch it, but it didn’t start to run till it had been on for an hour, over a steaming tub. My skin is glowing and firmer. On a side note, omit the oil and you seem to have found the perfect homemade recipe for a little couples fun. Delicious chocolate body paint.

Winter has taken it's toll and my skin is sooo dry. Yet I am reluctant to spend money on those expensive treatments. This was perfect, a home treatment using ingredients I always have at home. Worked beautifully on my skin and I am thinking it might be nice as a hand treatment. The key here is to be really stingy with the yogrt/cream so it sits on your face while soaking in. Thanks Mama. Made for the I Recommend Game.

This was fun to play with! I'm not sure the cocoa really added anything to the skin treatment, though. It did make a thick lotion which stayed on well, but I think the same effect could be achieved with a bit of bentonite. I think next time I will use the yoghurt and oil for the mask, and make a tasty treat from the chocolate.

Really nice texture. I omitted the oil so I could taste it and it was awfully tangy! But it felt nice on my skin and was fun to play with! I used plain yogurt.

This mask sure did leave my skin nice and soft and it smelled wonderful while it was on. I had some trouble getting it spread on my face though, not sure if that was my fault or not. Also, make sure you are in the bath or going to rinse off in the shower, it can get messy

I loved the smell of this mask, but it was difficult to keep on my face it, the oil made the chocolate paste roll off, I had to add a little water to change the consistency so it would stay. After rinsing even thought there was a residue from the oil which in one sense made it softer it also felt tight, and made my skin itch a little so I had to put on moisturizer. I prefered it for the back of my hands then on my face. Made for I Recommend tag April 09

LOVED the way this made my skin feel! I made an error in preparing it, tho... I made it too thin, which became very apparent when I went to apply it while soaking in a hot bubble bath; it didn't want to stay where I put it (at least not for very long), and kinda ran all over the placeand into the bath water. :P No problem, though... enough of it stayed on to do the trick, and I just let myself have a "chocolate bath"! I'm going to take the remainder and add more cocoa to it to get the consistency where it should be, and use it again. Silly, messy fun aside, it really did leave my skin feeling silky soft. Thanks for sharing!
