5 Reviews of Spa Cuisine - Zesty Lemon Detox Tea

I've been drinking this at work for the last few weeks instead of coffee. My skin has cleared up noticeably and I find I don't need the caffeine jolt in the morning to get me going. Even though it's lemon season now I don't always have one available, so I keep freshly squeezed lemon juice ice cubes in the freezer and just pop one into a mug and add hot water. I also use a packet of Splenda to take away the "pucker." If I have ginger root available I also add a sliver of that to the mug, and a nice dash of cayenne pepper, it really adds some zing to my morning. Thanks!

Wow! This tasted much better than I expected! I took this hot tea to a cold and windy football game today. It warmed me up from the inside out. I loved the kick from the ceyenne and the tang from the lemon. I added just a small squeeze of agave nectar to balance out the two and it was just perfect. I plan to drink this between meals all week.

Rating this on flavor alone, not sure about its detox effects yet as this morning is the first time I tried it. I used bottled lemon juice, bottled water (doubled - 1 cup water, 3 tbsp lemon juice), and a pinch of cayenne. I also added a tsp or so of honey, and a dash of ground ginger. Zingy, spicy. slightly tart, tiny bit sweet. Hope my digestive problems can handle it though. Hope to write back soon and update. Thanks, Impera_Magna.

Thanks for posting... this is great; I am familiar with the Master Cleanser recipe, which I couldn't follow, probably because it had too much maple syrup. The reviewer's suggestion about agave is perfect with this.
