This recipe turned out great! My daughter that refuses to eat nuts even liked it! I did substitute craisins for the raisins and I think it adds a little zing. Oh, and I made a mistake and added 1 tablespoon of cinnamon instead of 1/2 tablespoon (looking at the vanilla!) and I would definitely add a tablespoon again. Bought some vanilla yogurt to top with it, one way to add more dairy to my growing daughters diets, being a WI Cheesehead as well. Thanks for the great recipe.

the best granola I've made so far! i only use 1/2 c. honey to sweeten it, none of the sugar, and it is plenty sweet. thanks for the great recipe!!!

This was my first attempt at making my own granola and it turned out fabulously! I halved the recipe so that I wouldn't ruin too much if I did something wrong. I probably shouldn't have worried, though, because this was almost fool-proof. I did accidentally add the vanilla before microwaving but it doesn't seem to have an adverse effect on the taste. I did add a little extra vanilla after microwaving in case some had burned off during heating. This has a very lightly sweet cinnamon taste which I love. You could probably use more cinnamon if your tastes dictate. Also, I used dried cranberries instead of raisins and it is fabulous. Thanks so much! I know I will be making this again!

This is my first time at making granola and I am pleased with the outcome. I left out the ground flaxseed because I don't know what it tastes like and didn't want to take a gamble on not liking it. I also used regular raisins, as that is what I had on hand. We are enjoying munching on this great snack today. I'm sure it will be good on yogurt and ice cream as well. Thanks, WI Cheesehead!

Very tasty! Since the primary use in my house is a mix-in with yogurt, I take away the raisins and add in pumpkin seeds, soy nuts, and pecans. When combined with a fat-free yogurt, it's a quick and healthy breakfast/snack. Since the total amount of dry is closer to 11 cups with my additional ingredients, I then increase the amount of brown sugar/oil/honey to 2/3 cup each, always making sure to keep a 1:1:1 ratio, which works very well. Also my family loves cinnamon so I increase that as well (sometimes throw in a bit of nutmeg, too). We probably get twice as many servings as the recipe suggests. Don't let the carb content discourage you; of course there is sugar in it, but it's also a lot of whole grains which are great for your health. I guess the biggest endorsement is that I become the most popular person in the house when the granola container starts getting low!

Wow! This was fantastic-I kind of went against the name of the recipe & left out the walnuts-sorry, not a huge nut fan! But it was wonderful still-used Splenda brown sugar & some unsweetened coconut for the nuts. It smelled so good in the oven & was so easy to put together. Thank u very much for sharing this!

Very nice. I made as directed with the only substitution being subbing pitted, chopped dates for the raisins and also adding some dried blueberries which added a wonderful flavor! I was also hesitant to use the olive oil, but found it really did not change or detract from the flavor of the granola. For those who are hesitate to use the ground flaxseed, it really only adds a lightly nutty flavor and it adds a lot of health benefits. Thanks for posting WI Cheesehead : )I am editing my review to add that I used this granola recipe to make Strawberry Granola Squares which is a really terrific way to use this granola : )

I made this for breakfast this morning. I had it with some rice milk (allergy) and it was delicious. I put all of the mixture in a 15.25x10.25" cookie pan, and I kept it in for around 55 mins. all together. Every 10 mins. after the initial 30 mins., I took it out and stirred it up good. When it cooled it was nice and crispy, just like I like it for my cereal, or as an addition to ice cream or yogurt. You can also add M&M's or chocolate chips to this after cooking too, if your in the mood for chocolate... Yummo!Made for Zaar Stars Tag Game.

Very good. On my stove I had to cook for 40 min. I've made 2 batches in 5 days and have eaten it with yogurt, vanilla ice cream & banana ice cream.
